There's this girl in my school, really nice, a good friend, and she seems normal and healthy. But she has this strange thing going on with her butt. The center of her lower back, just above her butt, sticks out suddenly. Her butt doesn't even seem to be there. Its kinda like a big boney hump in her lower back. Its very strange and it makes her look like she's waddling from side to side. Sometimes i think its a tail or something but no one really knows what the hell it is!!! Any ideas?

Some people do accualy have a "tail" it is a bone protrussion at the end of the spine, and it dosent hurt or any anything although can be uncomfertable at times, you should have invited her to "go swimming" and really check out what it was, but now you gotta wait till it gets warmer, unless you know where a heated pool is...

It sounds like she may have tailbone issues. Maybe she broke it or something. Perhaps you should ask her about it in a subtle and sensitive way. It might be very difficult for her to deal with and she may need a sympathetic ear.

She may have Scoliosis. Or possibly a partially corrected Spina Bifida condition she might have been born with.
If so, she is lucky to even be walking around and participating in society, good for her.

Sounds like she may have had some type of congenital problem that required surgery. That's probably as good as they can fix the problem. But, hey...like her for who she is, not how she looks. Aren't we all flawed in some way or another?

First of all you are a nasty, freaky boy for looking down there and you need to realize that no one is the same and that you should embrace our differences.

Perhaps she has an extended spine. It looks like a tail. Is it as pronounced as that?
