You were charged under FSS 322.03, No Valid Drivers License. It is a misdemeanor.

No, you are not going to go to jail as long as this is your first offense.

The sentence will totally be up to the judge and what your prior record looks like.

You will be fined, have to pay court costs and be put on up to 6 months probation and be required to attend an 8 hour driver improvement course. That is the norm.

You'll be fined for driving without a license. You may also have a suspension of your driving privilege for violating the state's Financial Responsibility law if there were any injuries in the accident. This won't happen in court, but may be imposed by the state of Florida after the court proceedings. I realize that you don't have a license, but a suspension of your driving privilege is not dependent upon your having license. It can however, prevent or delay you from getting a license.

When you finally apply for a learner's permit or a driver's license, you will have to reinstate this suspension before it can be issued. You may have to obtain an SR-22 from an insurance company. This is a certificate of non-cancellable insurance, and can be somewhat expensive. You will also have to pay a reinstatement fee of $15.

If you were at fault in the accident, you will probably have to settle the damages to the vehicle(s) involved. If not, the owners can file suit and receive a judgment against you by the court. If that happens, your driving privilege will be suspended until you satisfy the judgment. This suspension can last for as long as 20 years or until the judgment is settled, whichever comes first.

Bottom line: It's a bad idea to drive without a license anywhere, but especially in Florida.

You face a fine for driving without a license. You will also have to show the court that you were able to financially cover the damage from the accident. If you had no insurance, you will have to pay that out of your own pocket.

Get a license and insurance or don't drive. You are in college, and this isn't exactly rocket science.

First things first, you were charged with a 2nd degree misdemeanor for not having a drivers license. If you have an extensive criminal history, things may be different, if you merely made a "bad decision" and crime isn't a part of your life. then you'll probably get fined and have to pay court costs........maybe probation, but I've seen people get away without probation too.....no big deal....I always tell people, its okay to make mistakes as long as you don't keep repeating them.

First, STOP DRIVING UNTIL YOU GET A LICENSE!! Next, get a license, preferably before you go to court. Third, make sure you show up in court, or they'll issue a warrant for your arrest. Fourth, LEARN A DAM#ED LESSON.

You won't go to jail, but there will be a fine. You'll get points (I think 4-6) on your license. (It takes 12 in 12 months to be suspended for 30 days, then gets progressively worse.)

well even if the accident wasn't your fault...it is now because legally you shouldn't be driving..so expect to have a lot of tickets and pay for damages...I'm guessing you don't have car insurance either since you don't have a DL...so you may have a hard time down the road buying car insurance as well...
so in court you'll be scolded for your stupidity and will have to spend a lot of your money..or your mommy and daddy's
