I've had two rifles that I kept long enough to name.
My first one, I named Eve (from Genesis)
My second one, I named Shiva (the Hindu God(ess) of Destruction)

Who said this was just a Hollywood myth? The first night my company slept with our rifles, we named them. Mine is "The Black Marie," after my girlfriend.

It was just a piece. In my Army they kind of frowned on sweet stuff like that.
