I've had two rifles that I kept long enough to name.

My first one, I named Eve (from Genesis)

My second one, I named Shiva (the Hindu God(ess) of Destruction)

Who said this was just a Hollywood myth? The first night my company slept with our rifles, we named them. Mine is "The Black Marie," after my girlfriend.

It was just a piece. In my Army they kind of frowned on sweet stuff like that.

In the military they call guns pieces, and I always thought that the users of them were not allowed to call them anything else.

The one I had in basic I named Amber Dawn..after my fiance at the time.

When I got to my unit and got my M-4 I called it Little Nasty.

I named my 60mm mortar tube Porky B**ch.
