It's marketing.

He was portrayed as white so the faith could spread to the Europeans.

you are asking funny Qs, he was of course of middle-east complexion, same es the muslim and palästinian terrorists are, and the Roman empire would have viewed im as a terrorist;- nothing much has changed here, the same un-rest prevails in these areas as was 2000+ years ago, nothing new at all. only that he was a man of great charisma, a man who believed people could chande, a man who undestood and a man who hated the hypocrites. there is a reason, why pontius pilatus, the Roman governour, gave him an audience, normally trouble makers were just tied to a wooden bar (not nailed, nails were far to precious in those days) and left to rott in the unrelenting sun, a centurio would have given the order, no trial or anything, that was an honour for the patrizier only. of course they almost beat him to death in the yard of the Roman governour, but that was commen practice in those days.as his religion was later adopted in western countries, whilst the islam took control in the east, those who believed in him would view him as one of their own complexion, undrstandable even today,I think, whether he was white ore not, does not really matter; his convictions are clearly different from the islam!

People project what they know onto him, it's not racists it's human nature. My sister dated a guy (not a religious man I should point out) who actually thought Jesus was not only white but English, he really didn't know any better. When she told him the truth he didn't believe her at first. Most Christians know that the blond haired, blue eyed, pale skinned Jesus isn't accurate but does it really matter what he looked like?

Another victim of the plot I see. He was, and still is, depicted as white to trick the slaves from Africa, long ago, into believing that they were inferior to whites (as if enslaving them weren't enough). They were forced to give up their beliefs and convert to their master's religion (Christianity). The "masters" knew it would be truly devasting to their society if slaves found out Jesus was of color, not a caucasian with brown hair and blue eyes. A form of mind control.

He wasn't. He was Middle Eastern (in his case, a Jew), so he was dark skinned. Also, he lived primarily in the desert, worked outside (as he was trained as a carpenter), and was nomadic, meaning he didn't have a home, so he travelled around a lot and spent most of his time outside. So naturally his skin would be dark.

Why should he be mixed?

How do you know Jesus even exists? But if he was real than he is probably white cause that is what all of the pictures and crap show him as. but yet again, you have a point.

That is luducrus to even state that!

We don't KNOW what Jesus looked like!

Coming from the Middle east, I don't think that we would be too far off in saying that he had a darker complexion.

He is depicted as white because white people paint the pictures.
For the area of the world he supposedly lived in it is highly unlikely that he was white.

Jesus was able to blend in with the crowd of the area. Therefore, he must have had a dark complexion. Judas needed to kiss Jesus to give him up to the roman guards; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to recognize him.

That's correct, He was jewish, The bible states that He wasn't good looking. He would have had quite tanned skin and most likely a biggish nose.
