i won't be able to assert specifically how i comprehend yet i can allow you to comprehend this... no individual contained in the middle east has the features to the contact us with nukes. they could ending up hitting Israel or yet another usa that we help. to boot, the US has some very incredible anti-missle platforms in position which will a great deal shrink the incoming probability. I easily ought to believe you...I too sense that issues are rather coming to a head there yet once the airborne dirt and dirt clears issues will be more suitable ideal. As our search for for terrorists persist we've found the reason for alot of the topic matters contained in the mideast...Iran and Syria. something of the international is seeing this now too. Russia and China in basic terms made a truth that they see that iran isn't extreme about making concessions on the topic of making nuclear gas and are literally supportive of UN sanctions.

I am a retired Air Force B52 Bomber pilot. If you convert the power of the nuclear bombs that I could carry into conventional bombs, I carried more tonnage then all of the bombs dropped in all of the wars. During the cold war, I would be on Alert one week a month. Alert meant living in a special barracks at the end of the runway and next to my B52. My plane was loaded with nuclear weapons. We were ready to launch for war at anytime day or night for nuclear war.

If I had ever had to take off with my nuclear weapons and deliver them in World War lll, there would have been no winners. At that time the United States, the USSR, France, China, and Israel were the only countries with nuclear capability. That meant there were over 15,000 nuclear weapons on the Earth. Today, not only do we have those countries nuclear capablibilies we have India, Pakistan, North Korea, Iran(?), and maybe 2 or 3 more countries.15,000 weapons was enough then for everyone to worry about Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). Today I am sure there are at least 5,000 more. I am even more worried about it now. If some little dictator decides to flex his muscles and launch one nuclear weapon and without worrying about MAD, there would be enough retaliation to end the Earth.

"Nuking" is not the answer. There has to be a better way. Right now it may seem like our policy is not working, but in this war we have lost all less soldiers then anyother war. I worry about those young men and women in battle. But I trust them to do their mission.

There are two options available with nuclear weapons ::

strategic nuclear weapons, like ICBMs, MIRVs, etc
tactical nuclear weapons

If / when some terrorist group or country supporting terrorism attacks the United States with any kind of nuclear device you can be assured that we will respond in kind, almost certainly with tactical nuclear weapons. These will >not< bring on the dreaded nuclear winter nor totally destroy oil resources in the Mideast. What they >will< do is send a clear message to the islamic world that the United States can be pushed just so far.

If the crazies start nuking us I'd sure like to know what other options we have. Even ending our support of Israel isn't going to stop these islamic nut cases, nor will pulling all of our military forces out of the MidEast. They have one goal and one goal only and that is for muslims to rule the world.

10% of the oil in the world comes form the middle east (namedly, the country we happen to have been infilitrating over the past 6 years). If america nukes the country, they destroy one of the reasons we went over there to begin with. (that is, besides to scare ignorent people into submission. to militarize America. hmm, doesnt this sound like hitler after he burned down the reistage...hmm, naah couldnt be, the sweet us government is too concerned for our well being to Ever do that.. right?)

then we could probably kiss all of the middle east goodbye, then china and russia will condemn it and possibly threaten to attack us, then the UN, Austraila, Japan, Canada, India, Isreal and other western nations will back the US, and then the other small countries that are with china and russia will join. After that we can say hello to WW3, which the west will once again be victorius as long as the democrats stay out of the white house. If the democrats were in power, they would just surrender like a bunch of cowards disgracing our countries name. We won WWI and WWII, big deal. just because of that does not mean we can lose all other wars. We must prove our strength and power to demonstrate we will not tolerate other nations threats, especially china and russia who needs to learn their place.

Global nuclear war. Too many countries including us have interests there. Israel would make sure they got their nukes off before being destroyed. Their targets extend beyond the ME
