Ha Ha Ha. Are you joking, there is no deep philosophical questions. Use logic and common sense. Plus there are laws too. See a psychologist or buy a self help book. Perhaps email Hawkins or an atheist website for advice.
Did you know that "scientist" is a fairly new word? What we called scientist today, were called "philosophers" in the past.
You atheist crack me up.

I would be careful about joining a religion. If you are searching for answers to questions how do you know that a religion is going to help you? I am not going to insult you with the pat answer that Jesus is the answer to your questions - but I will tell you that as you search for answers to your questions you need to go to the One who is All Knowing. What I would do if I were you is pray to God and ask Him to guide you to the answers you are seeking. Read the Bible - get a study guide to go with it and maybe it might have some of the same questions you have and the verses that will answer them for you. I pray that you will be guided into all truth and that nothing hinders you from finding it.

May I suggest as a start that If you can get to Forest Lawn Cemetary in Glendale, CA, look up the "Mystery of Life" sculpture (near the statue of David). You will find yourself in that sculpture and should be able to find the real answer to the mystery of life. You will find a lot of food for thought (meditation) while there. I think I can guarantee you will never regret this visit. Good hunting.

Some religions would not allow you to explore, claiming to be the 'one and true' religion. I would suggest taking your time, reading the books (Koran, Bible, IChing etc) and see where you heart leads you.
http://www.beliefnet.com is an excellant source of information. They also provide a 'belief o matic' which lets you see what religion you'd likely follow based on the beliefs you already have now.
