No. 30 is not too old to join the military. The cut off age is 35. You may also want to check out your bad disc with your doctor. The military will give you their own physical to determine, from a health stand point, whether or not you are eligible to to join. please don't feel discourage, when i was in basic training there were females your age and older. If you are interested your best bet would be to contact a recruiter nearest you, but i would also advice you to do your own research and ask question. Sad to say not all recruiters are truthful.

You can always try to come in, I know people with herniated discs have a problem while in the Army, because it just gets worse, with all the running, jumping and wearing of alot of gear. But if you pass the physical and dont tell them about back problems, then awesome, just hope it dosnt hurt you in the future. 30 year old females just coming into the military isnt uncommon these days either. Good luck!

You could still join however you may need a medical waiver for the bad disc in your back.
If you can do lots of physical exercise without it bothering you then it should not be a problem. Also can you wear about 35lbs or more gear on your back for at least 3 hours. If you can't sorry to say the military isn't for you.

no I joined at 34 the Guard over a yr ago and im 35 going Active .. however dont know about your medical issues though.
They train everyone the same not based upon age if you cant do the push up and sit-ups or run , dont waste your time , that is the small stuff, there are road marches where you carry your weapon and ruck not to mention other military gear you have to wear.
the Army raised the age limit to 42.
Good luck!

there is not any criminal accountability to make an appointment with a recruiter. there is not any criminal accountability to connect regardless of in case you're taking the ASVAB. the criminal accountability is when you already swear in, something you may no longer do till you're making an appointment, get pre-qualified, pass the ASVAB, and pass the actual. As of suited now, you're too previous to connect the two the Air rigidity or the Marines. the army will take you till your forty second birthday and the army will take you till you're 34. i can't communicate for the army yet once you connect the army you may qualify for the army Civilian won skills application due on your adventure as a dental assistant. What that would advise is which you would be able to are available as an E-4 as a replace of an E-a million like rather everyone else, which might advise you may make quite a few hundred money a month extra advantageous than rather everyone else turning out to be a member of. the advantages are going to be there inspite of your age. you in simple terms ought to qualify for enlistment to get them. You get loose scientific and dental, money for college, and mark downs on the PX (think of of a tax-loose Walmart) and Commissary (food market that sells call variety nutrition extra inexpensive than different places sell the knock-offs). in case you have an significant different or toddlers you may pass your GI invoice advantages to them after a pair of years in case you do no longer choose to apply it your self.

The bad disc, maybe but the max age is 34 yrs. Try for it anyway, the worst thing you can hear is no. By the way, the military is like the IRS, the less you say the more likely you are to get your way.

A bad disc may eliminate right off. You have to be in pretty good shape to get in. Also, 30 may not be too old if you're a nurse or such, otherwise I'd say it's time to look at something else.

The military will give you a physical, but a I would have one from my own private doctor.
As far as your age, if you past basic training, the 30 isn't too old.

the army now accepts applicants up to 42 years old, you have to leave for basic before your 42nd birthday. your back may be an issue, get the medical paperwork on it, give it to a recruiter and have him submit it for a medical prescreen to see if you qualify. good luck.
