The Sun is a fact, it is there for all to see.
It provides light and heat.
Without it there would be no life.

"heathen" not my word, that's why it's in quotes (parenthesis).

I'm talking ancients here, who directly worshiped the Sun. Not Pagans or whoever, who worshiped Seasons and Nature.

the way i view it sun worship (or "son" worship) is the fascination with the fact that the sun "dies" each day only to be "ressurected" or 'born again' the next morning...as time went on the seasonal changes also represented this 'death rebirth' cycle....
I believe that what we are now experiencing is a forward step in our realization of divine conciousness that dwells within....there is no 'ressurection' in other words only eternity....infinite timeless conciousness, it's simply we need to recognize that.

I don't know about other "heathen" paths, but we Norse peeps don't actually worship the sun. We have a Goddess who is representative of the sun, Sunna, but we don't actually worship the sun. And if that name sounds familiar, well...Sunday is actually named for Her. In fact 6 out of the 7 days of the week are named for Norse Gods (the 7th is named for a Roman one).

I think you misinterpret both "heathen" and "sun worshiper". Few, if any, have ever worshiped the actual sun. The sun is often a SYMBOL of a male god in many pagan traditions, see?

cant you see that the early christians just incorporated all the sun god mythology in Jesus.

Ever wonder why we celebrate Dec. 25 as his birthday?

Every sun god shares that birthday. Do a search for "Jesus sun god zodiac".

the search may blow your mind. However, instead of pushing me away from Jesus, it actually brought me closer knowing about the secret truth.

LOL, another one who can't tell the word "Heathen" from "infidel" "disbeliever" or "someone vaguely different than me".

Daughter said it.

No, because they thought the Sun was a sentient being.

In my opinion...other than the human sacrifices (even then it was a honor and was just a fact of life...nothing barbaric about it in their eyes) they got it right. BUT since they do not worship the TRUE God...they're going to HELL!!! BURN BABY BURN!!!! -_-
