Push the spoon, with soup in it, away from you and lift it to your mouth, I believe.

Use the spoon and scoop up the soup from the back rim of the bowl to the middle. Do not bend down to slurp the soup from the spoon. Move the spoon to your mouth and eat.

There can be no doubt that the first option is the correct one. It is permissible to tilt the bowl back to help to finish the soup. But you must never lift the bowl from the table.

roll up some bread..soak up the broth then eat the solid stuff..if no solid stuff..then pick up the bowl and drink it..do not sip..its not nice..got milk
