It depends what is influencing it - although incredibly unlikely, if human actions are causing it we can fix it fast. Unfortunately, you are a crazy liberal who hates capitalism and that is why you buy into the fact that modernity causes it. Something more sinister, the sun and natural cycles of nature, is causing this shift and unfortunately we can do nothing about that.

I don't think anybody can estimate that because of the various factors involved.
However, it disgusts me to know that some people still don't believe in global warming or climate change and the human influence on it. Sure, we can just keep on denying what is the truth to get away from it but you will have to face it one day. Why do you think Al Gore recently won a Nobel Peace prize for his documentary: "An Inconvenient Truth". Also, I have a question for the critics of the theory of global warming. Do you think that you have better equipment and data to estimate global warming than the top environmentalists and scientists. It was all over the news that, in the beginning of this year, there was a conference of all the major scientists in the field of environmental studies and there was a unianimous decision among them that global warming is happening. I don't know how anyone can deny it after this.

The premise of your question is in error. Exclusive of some major event such as a large comet hitting the earth, the life of the earth as well as the various species on it will continue in terms of billions of years.
In terms of weather, climate change is a natural process which has always existed and always will exist. What is incorrectly referred to as 'global warming' is actually a warming period currently on going in certain specific areas of the earth. For example, some areas (not all of it) of the northern pole area are warming causing changes not seen for several hundreds of years. At the same time the ice caps of the south pole are actually increasing in area covered and thickness.
While such climate changes will result in adjusting to such changes, they will be good in some areas and negative in others. There is nothing to fear.

The Bible clearly says that this earth will not pass away til after Jesus reigns for 1000 yrs. He hasnt come back yet, so no fear on the Earth non-livable condition. However, being a good steward of the earth is a good thing. Helps to keep costs down and the ability to use the earth for the right purposes....growing food, and other natural resourses such as water need our attention.
