Because not all christians are walking a victorious life in Christ yet. There are many sin strongholds that need to be defeated. And for your information, the USA is not mostly Christian anymore. Since the Supreme Court took prayer and bible study out of the schools in the 1960's our society has grown more rebellious. Many people will claim to be christians because of some church sacrament or family tradition. That does not make them a christian. A christian has a personal relationship with Jesus and follows Him. There are also many wiccans,new agers,atheists,buddhists,hindus,muslims and such. So you are being presumptuous to connect pornography with christianity.

Because people lie on the Census forms. Would church attendance really be down if there were really that many Christians. And by Christian, I mean somebody who actually follows the religion, reads the bible etc. and isn't just in on it for the holidays.

I could just as easily ask: Why does a country with 51% women buy so many jock straps? Why does a country with so many miles of highway have airplanes? Why does a country with so many WalMarts have so few suicide bombers?

I'm not defending the "consumption" of pornography....but do you know where most of it is produced? The rest of the world outside of the US to avoid the laws.

Also do not rely on an individual telling you he's Christian when he probably is not a practicing Christian...just raised in the culture.

This is a cheap and unreliable attack on the Christian Faith and the United States. I find it offensive. Please approach this issue more intelligently in the future.
