The correct statement is "God doesn't exist". Besides your "logic" is faulty. Apollo doesn't exist either but he has a name. Harry Potter doesn't exist either and he also has a name.

Read W.V.O. Quine's "On What There Is." He explains the flaw in your thinking far better than I can.
Essentially, the idea is that an existential claim is a claim about a property of God-hood. Denying the existential claim requires only an ontological commitment to the existence of an uninstantiated property of God-hood.
If that doesn't make sense, read the article.

If you say "God doesn't exist", you are refering (most probably) to the God refered in religions. So if it exists then it exists, if it doesn't then it doesn't. Making any statement doesn't change anything, we don't know, end of story

Harry Potter doesn't exist....wait...he does exist as a fictional character in a book written for entertainment and made into a movie.
I wish you could go somewhere with this one but you really cannot accomplish anything in this line of thought....
I am Christian but I am a realist also...please take this as encouragement and move on...

Santa doesn't exist. Does your 'logic' work for that as well?
The existence of the word 'god' proves that god concepts exist, but it doesn't do anything to demonstrate substance behind those concepts.

When someone says this, they are usually talking about the made up judgmental punishing God of the bible.
They are not talking about the real God.

Although I'm reluctant to mention the Flying Spaghetti Monster, by your argument he (she?) must exist too.
