God is love. And love is the creative force that caused this universe and our earth to exist. Love begets life and creates new expressions of live forms that come into being. All things that love creates is intelligently made with nothing lacking. It is perfect.
So why did God create man?
God's love had a plan of salvation that would show man how much he loved mankind. For the greatest act of love is to lay down ones life for his friend. This is what God himself did when he became a man and became weak. He his godly powers and lived as babe, a young boy, a teenager, and a young man. And then for the last 3 years he told the world who he was and why he came here to this earth.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
No other doctrine is that powerful to show that a God would become a man and give up his life for man to save him from eternal separation from him.
Only love will do that. But that is because God is love..

Excellent question. If god created us, then the question "Why did god create us?" is absolutely appropriate... and after all these years, it's completely unanswerable because there has really never been any sign that god even exists. Based on all of our most optimistic ideas about god and gods, the most hopeful hypothesis is that god is to us as we are to an aquarium of fish. I know - not really very hopeful at all.

That is exactly what the OT tells us. God got bored and decided to create the universe and man. That apparently was 6 thousand years ago and not 4.5 billion years as science calculates.

my thoughts are, god created a world for himself to produce life, in this life he wanted to prove to the non believers that he new would be here, that he could do great things, he helped man to create life with a woman, he gave us knowledge to create new thing each year a new thing is invented, once they rode donkeys now we drive cars, no tv no there is, the world god created many years ago, has now evovlved into a masterpiece, we hav technology that thousands of years ago would never of been dreamed of, each time god takes a life from this earth he creates a new one, each time there brains get more knowledge as the brain is passed down, and in many years to come this world would have evolved again into a world that we couldnt dream of, my opinion. p.s if god was bored wen he created the most amazing thing ever the human body, just imagine wat he could do if he put his great mind to it.

God, created us to have fellowship with HIM. HE made us, humans, so that HE could shower all that marvelous love and affection on us. The same way some parents have children because they want someone who's a part of them to do or lavish this love upon. In fact, the true believer is a child of God.
The rules or laws that God placed upon man, was for our benefit. In the beginning, there was only one rule, to not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve couldn't even obey this one rule. So, by disobeying one rule came about having to obey many rules. God desires to bless you and love you. Not to make life hard, boring for you. But, these laws is what seperates the children of God, from the children of the devil. There (and I speak from a personsl experience) is no greater feeling than to know and feel the love that God has for you. To feel this love, flowing all around you and through you and to have that same love flowing back to God. Wow! What a awesome feeling. I have never felt anything like it since. NO father, or mother, friend, lover can give to you this kind of love. Not sex, drugs, shopping or money can begin to compare to this supernatural manifestation of the love God has for HIS children. Once you seek HIM and He reveals this love to you, it will blow your mind. You will forever crave it. Seek HIM and patiently wait for HIM to reveal HIMself and HIS love to you.
May the LORD grace you with HIS love for you, and HIS understanding. Amen.

i'll say of what i believe. God created humans so that he would have company, he made us out of love. Eve sinned so did Adam. Now we carry it. It aint God's fault! Everything was perfect and all we wouldve done was love him, but since they sinned, we got to follow rules.

Would you rather be dust? If you do not enjoy this life then you must figure out why, because life is joyful. Hes giving you the chance of eternal reward who knows how great and joyful that will be. But we should honour our Lord because he gave us life and not because we want reward or do not want punishment.
