This would be varied based on your area of the country, the supply and demand of CMAs and the number of training programs available.

The US National Average Salary for a Medical Assistant is:$26,417.00 per yr or $508 per week.

I just finished up school for Medical Assisting and it depends on where you live and where you work. In PA they usually start at $12 to $14 an hr. The most I ever heard of someone getting is $18 an hr. It is hard to find a job in this field because so many ppl go to school for it. But there are also other jobs you can get out of being a MA. You can also be an EKG tech and a Phlebotomists. So dont limit yourself once you graduate if you have to, go where you can gain experience until you find what you really want.

No you do not. medical Assistants to me are over worked and fewer than paid. (Florida resident). On top of that the state I stay in does no longer require certification. i become educated by technique of a healthcare specialist with all fingers on.. stuck it out for 5 years and challenged the board for my certification.. you may also undertaking the CNA, then the LPN and bridge to RN. once your contained in the container lengthy sufficient and artwork for surprising docotors, then that is going to be elementary. yet 12,000 US funds on medical Assistant college isn't worth it. You were maximum ideal consisting of your decision. the school councelor must have both noted CNA or sponsored you up on your decision. MA's are the bottom of the totem poll!
