Is there a way to look at all files (temporary and permanent) created between two dates? This was possible with Windows 98 but I can't seem to get it right here.

Yes, go to the start menu and click search, then on the left there will be a panel that asks what type of document it is click file or folder then click dates from/to and enter the dates.

Also, if you know the location of the files you can go to folder option in explorer or my computer and select the "View" tab, then select "Show hidden files and folders."
Caution: System files will also be exposed. Do not delete them.
