Just a quick note, the Arabic word "Muhammad" is an expression which means "The honorable one" or "The glorified one" or "The admirable". Prophet Muhammad was the first in the Middle East to be named "Muhammad". Below, you will see how Jesus in today's Gospel of John had called this human Prophet which he predicted his comming "The honorable one".
Jesus in the Greek Bible used the Greek word "Periklytos" which means the admirable or glorified one. He called that predicted human prophet "Periklytos". This word corresponds exactly to the Arabic word "Muhammad" which also means the "admired one" or "glorified one." In other words, "Periklytos" is "Muhammad" in Greek.
Let us start...
In the Bible we can find the following four passages wherein Jesus (peace be upon him) predicts a great event:
John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"
John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."
In these four verses, the word "comforter" is translated from the word "Paraclete" ("Ho Parakletos" in Greek). Parakletos in Greek is interpreted as "an advocate", one who pleads the cause of another, one who councils or advises another from deep concern for the other's welfare (Beacon Bible commentary volume VII, p.168). In these verses we are told that once Jesus (peace be upon him) departs, a Paraclete will come. He will glorify Jesus (peace be upon him), and he will guide mankind into all truth. This "Paraclete" is identified in John 14:26 as the Holy Ghost.
It must be pointed out that the original Greek manuscripts speak of a "Holy pneuma." The word pneuma {pnyoo'-mah} is the Greek root word for "spirit." There is no separate word for "Ghost" in the Greek manuscripts, of which there are claimed to be over 24,000 today. The translators of the King James Version of the Bible translate this word as "Ghost" to convey their own personal understanding of the text. However, a more accurate translation is "Holy Spirit." More faithful and recent translations of the Bible, such as the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), do indeed now translate it as "Holy Spirit." This is significant, and will be expounded upon shortly.
All Bibles in existence today are compiled from "ancient manuscripts," the most ancient of which being those of the fourth century C.E. Any scholar of the Bible will tell us that no two ancient manuscripts are exactly identical. All Bibles in our possession today are the result of extensive cutting and pasting from these various manuscripts with no single one being the definitive reference.

First I would like to ask you as to who is the one repeatedly referred to as the COMFORTOR several times in the John ?
John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another COMFORTOR, that he may abide with you for ever"
John 15:26 "But when the COMFORTOR is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"
John 14:26 "But the COMFORTOR , [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the COMFORTOR will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."
Plz note that one of the names of Mohammad is AHMAD which means COMFORTOR.
Muhammad is also mentioned by name in the Old Testament
Songs of Solomon Chapter 5 verses 16:
"His mouth is sweet,he is altogether lovely, this is my beloved, this is my friend,oh Daughters of Jerusalem."
Translation Hebrew:
" Hikko Mamittakim Vi Kullo " MUHAMMADIM " Zehdoodeh wa Zehraeeh,Bayna Jerusalem"
Famous historians said.about the coming of Mohammad in the earlier scriptures.........
"......Furthermore it is declared that the coming of Mohammad under the name of 'AHMAD' and that his name is specifically recorded in 'TAWRAH' and 'INJIL' as the prophet of GENTILES [ an-nabi, ul-ummi, interprated by later orthodox as the 'unlettered prophet'] Nevertheless, the Jews [ and perhaps by implication, the Christians also seek to conceal the witness of thier scriptures and are guilty of
misquoting and even wilfully perverting them."--[Moahammadanism, An Historical Survey, by Hamilton A.R.GIBB,pg-53]
" That God finding that the mildness of Isa had not proved effectual, had now sent him [prophet] who was the comforter promised by him [ Isa], to protect his followers from further prosecution, and to propagate the doctrine of the prophets and of Isa, who all taught that there was only one God ruling the world by his providence, a rewarder of the just and punisher of the evil-doers.[ An Account of The Rise And Progress of Mahometanism with the life of Mahomet- by
HENRY STUBBE, M.A. of Christ Church- Oxford, From a manuscript copied by Charles Hornby of Pipe office in 1705, London,Luzac & Co. 1911, pg-87 ]
".....and there is a tradition that the nativity of Mahomet had been calculated and it had been predicted by a Jewish Genethlia that he should be a great prophet and prince."--[Ibid, pg-79]
"....the work has happily begun, the great God hath sent you a
prophet to conduct you, such as the sun never beheld. Edris, Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Moses, Isa had those charachter imprinted on them that we reverence thier memories and esteem, each of them truly great, but never ever equald Mahomet, the last and chiefest Apostle of God."--[ Ibid, pg-109]
".......Lastly, whereas 'Isa' says in the Gospel [John-XVi,7], Except I go hence, the 'COMFORTER' will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you. By the comforter in this place, they say, is meant Mahomet, the paraclete or comforter being one of his names or titles in the Arabian language."--[ibid]
There are several references of Mohammad being foretold in many scriptures.

I think you answered your own question because the verses you have quoted explain exactly who the Comforter is - The Comforter is not Muhammed but the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was first poured out on believers on the Day of Pentecost and ever since the Holy Spirit dwells inside a believer and teaches and comforts the believer. He also intercedes for believers as Paul says in Romans: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:26-27 (NIV) And yes, the term Holy Spirit is more correct than the term Holy Ghost. I would like to know how Muhammed could abide with the Apostles forever (John 14:16) when he was not born for at least another 500 years after Jesus spoke these words to them. And since Muhammed is dead how does he dwell with believers today? Also how exactly did Muhammed bring to mind the things that Jesus had said to the Apostles (John 14:26) since he didn't live until a few hundred years after the Apostles had died?

The word " ghost" is a mis-translation of the word ' spirit'.
Ghost imp[lies a part of a person that survives death and haunts houses. This is denied by the
Bible...
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
Jesus was the 'Messiah' promised by God.
(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
(Daniel 9:25) And you should know and have the insight [that] from the going forth of [the] word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Mes·si′ah [the] Leader, there will be seven weeks, also sixty-two weeks. She will return and be actually rebuilt, with a public square and moat, but in the straits of the times.
The Bible says nothing about a FURTHER prophet...700 years later.
The Bible belies the whole faith of Islam.
Ishmael, the founder of Islam, was promised to be the Father of a mighty nation, which Islam has proved to be, but it is only a part of humanity that SHOULD be looking to Jesus for guidance, NOT Muhammad.

I'm sorry, I would like to discuss with Muslim's about their religious views I really do. But you do realize Muhammed did not stay with us forever? Whereas the Holy Spirit has. I have spoken to some Muslims not in great length - some are very Godly people and very upright citizens whom I have admired but even with all the translation explanations I have never been able to see how they can take those words to signify Muhammed's coming.

You forgot one simple point....the Comforter is actually a SHE, not a HE.
Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Your argument is also flawed. The Dead sea scrolls have shown that today's version of scripture is 99% ACCURATE!
Mohammed is a false prophet. So is Ellen White, Charles T. Russell, and all the other ones that have come and gone.
Time to return to THE TRUTH, before it's too late.

By no means these passages refer to Muhammad.
But there's a passage that refers to Muhammad:
(Matthew 7:15-23) :
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
And so Muhammad's life is full of bad deeds, so we recognize he's the bad tree:
Raping a 9 year old
Declaring war to non believers
promoting hate to other religions
Allowing to lie and steal to infidels
etc.

"In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate".
FARQUELAT, MAAZMAAZ and HAMTAYA were names used by God in the holy Bible for HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (peace be upon him). GO AND READ THE HOLY BIBLE 4 THAT.
Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) in the Holy Bible: (DO’T U BLEIVE IN BIBLE)?

Substantial prove that JESUS (pbuh) not completed the religion but gave the NEWS of upcoming prophet = John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Mohammad's name is indeed mentioned in the original Bible manuscripts. The word "Mahmad" is found in the original Hebrew manuscript and it means the "desired one", or the "glorified one". In the 15th century, exactly in 1539, "Great Bible" was the first and official English translated bible to be authorized for public use, and when the Bible was translated to the English language, many words and expressions were translated differently and sometimes omitted altogether, including the word "Mahmad" which is the name of Prophet Mohammad, (peace be upon him). Here is the verse in the Bible: ‘"And I (God) will shake all nations, and the "desire one" of all nations shall come." ’HAGGI 2:7
Also in the Bible, God is saying to Moses: ‘“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.” ’(Deuteronomy 18:18-19)
Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was similar to Moses (peace be upon him) and he was the only prophet from whose mouth the words of God were spoken (Qur’an). Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) spoke in God's name all the time. Also in Isaiah 51:4, it is said that there will be a new law for all the people. Also, in Isaiah 66:20, it was made clear that the prophet would come from the BRETHREN, not children of the Israel. (i.e. the Arabs)
‘“Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, it is truth. . Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. . I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Savior." ’ISAIAH 43:9-11
God said, to let all nations and people gather together to bear witness to this truth (Islam), and know that I (God) have chosen my servant (Mohammad). And that He is God with none other before or after. The Chapter talks about all nations being unified under one flag (Islam). Also, in verse 11, God very clearly and categorically stated that He is the Only Savior and none else.

It would ALL depend upon which prophecy you refer to.
I personally believe that islam forms the anti-Christ and muhammed was the messenger of the anti-Christ. So, from MY point of view, yes, the Bible does predict his coming and the coming of his invention of islam and allah.
Another quick comment. muhammed was QUICK to discredit the Holy Books of Christianity AND Judaism when he was inventing the koran. Just WHY do you attempt to use these "discredited" texts to support your view? Just curious.
Anyway, feel free to add to my collection of hate and death-threat e-mails for voicing my personal opinion in honest and sincere response to your question. It only adds to my belief of the true nature of islam.
