Who says there is no other mediator b/w God and Man? What about all the miracles attributed to lay people praying to a saint...or a religeous person who intercedes with GOD on there behalf? I pray regularly to GOD, Jesus, I pray the rosary...and I pray to certain Saints...my Patron Saint Damian, Cosmas and Damian (Twin protectors), My parents- saints in heaven, and Karol Wojtyla former Pope JPII. I beleive that they do intercede on my behalf. So Angels do exist, in the Catechism and in my beliefs!!

Angels are ' messengers'. They let God know what is going on, even though God himself is powerful enough to do it himself.
A C.E.O. of a big company has the means and the brains to run all his departments, but delgates responsibilities. And this gives quality of life and purpose to his employees.
Why should God be any different.
But the officeboy does not take important information direct to the boss...the company secretary does that.
Jesus is the right hand man for Almighty God. who also happens to be his [ Jesus'] Father.
Only Jesus is the 'mediator' for prayer.
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus is the mediator between God and Man. He prays for us and intercedes for us. The angels are here to help us, and protect us. God never allows us unprotected. The Holy Spirit lives inside us.

'for there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man called Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time.'

We all share in Christs mediatorship. When you pray for a friend, that is exactly what you are doing. The failure to understand this is why Fundies don't understand prayer to the saints. Having my friend on earth pray for me, or an angel, or a saint in heaven, does not detract from Christs mediatorship.
