So, you mean a carbs/fiber only diet? Well, not really. Yes, you'll lose some weight but I wouldn't count on it being all fat. Actually, much of your weight loss will NOT be fat. Without protein in your diet, you will quickly lose muscle, too, and when *that* happens, your metabolism slows down and -- guess what? Weight gain will eventually occur.
And cutting out all fats is just plain unhealthy and will cause some damage to your body.
Try a balanced diet instead. Keep carbs at no more than 50 to 60% of your total caloric intake. Make up the difference in protein and good fats (about 25 - 30% each).

Probably. Is it recommended? Nope. You are depriving your body of vitamins found in whole grains (which, by the way, are also important for energy) and you are also depriving your body of protein (which has very harmful effects. protein is so essential to your body because it does so many things for you). Chances are, the weight you lose will be a combination of water weight and muscle mass. Lose muscle mass, and it becomes harder to lose weight in the future.
A balanced diet and exercise routine is the most effective way to lose weight.
