My ex girlfriend got angry with me twice because I do not answer the phone immediately when she calls, and I do not promptly call her back after she leaves a message. We broke up over one & half year ago, and we have a child together and she moved out of state, and I have my child.
She mentioned that when I call, that whatever she is doing she answers my phone calls and immediately reply to any message that i leave. And she feels, when she calls that I just watch my phone caller i.d. & ignore the call & let it go straight to voice mail. (At times I am busy).
I feel that we are not together anymore, and I am not obligated to answer her calls immediately and reply back to any of her messages. If the message she leaves is important I get back to her immediately, otherwise I don't bother responding to her.
I believe she has someone else in her life and I am happily dating.

My question is why is she acting that way, especially she is the one that broke off the relationship.

She feels like she cares about you more than you care about her and that makes her feel like she "lost."

Maybe she feels that since you have custody of ya'lls child that she still has some kind of control over you. I don't see a problem as long as you answer any calls or messages that pertain to your child. Good luck.

Because it almost seems to me like she still wants you. I mean i dont get to my phone often i only do when its in my hand ( rarely ) and i told my bf it might take me a while to respond back and hes accepted that.

Sometimes i dnt respond back if im just about to see them

Because despite her breaking it off, she stil wants to be important in your life. Let her be angry. She's dropped you.

Tell her this, " Not happy about that, get over it". You owe her no explanation and tell her that is why you pay for voicemail.

She feels she should still have some control or influence over you. You obviously disagree............and I agree with you.

maybe she is jealous that you are happy without her.Another is that she is unhappy and wants to get back with you or she crazy.
