WASHINGTON — Retired Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez, who led U.S. forces in Iraq for a year after the March 2003 invasion, accused the Bush administration Friday of going to war with a "catastrophically flawed" plan and said the United States is "living a nightmare with no end in sight."
Sanchez described the current troop increase in Iraq as "a desperate attempt by the administration that has not accepted the political and economic realities of this war."

Sounds pretty accurate to me. Bush is going to keep this going thru his term. When the next president gets in, then we can talk about bringing the troops home.

I saw it on the news today, but I didn't need to hear Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez to know the obvious:
"catastrophically flawed" & "living a nightmare with no end in sight." -Saw that for myself from the get-go.

Isn't that General "Abu Graib" Sanchez? It stands to reason that someone who was promoted up the chain of command through affirmative action over strict merit and who oversaw numerous failures which a commander of US troops should have been held to account (but wasn't), would want to lash out and start the finger pointing at someone other than himself.
