I heard that God actually RECREATED Earth in Genesis and God actually took the dinosaur bones out of the old earth and buried them in the new earth he just created. After of course he must've created humans and all other life. Is that true? Or did God speed up the half-life of radiometric isotopes in fossils?

Is God accelerating the speed of light in space so we think that stars are farther than they actually are?
I mean some stars are millions and billions of light-years away. Now light-years are a measure of distance or more precisely, the distance traversed by light in one mean solar year.
So how do we see these stars unless they existed for millions or even billions of years?
How is the universe only 10,000 years or even 100 million years old when we can stars that are billions of light-years away?
I just don't understand!
Is God just accelerating the light coming from these stars so that the light from them arrives on earth faster?
Or is God making the speed of light slower in our solar system so that we underestimate the actual speed of light everywhere else?
I heard that God made the light come here during creation. If that were true does that mean the whole foundation of the science of astronomy wrong? Please help me understand!

Actually, the Universe was already here when God made Earth, so that's why we can see the rest of the stars and such in the Universe.
As for the dinosaur bones and stuff, it wasn't an old Earth that he recreated, it was a whole different planet that he took material from. The dinosaurs were probably another fallen, intelligent people that needed salvation, and the fossils are the remnants of their Apocalypse.
You see, God keeps on making sentient races and destroying them when they fail. Over and over again. One day, we're all sure he's going to get it right, but for now, we just have to accept the fact that this is his first "My First Universe" kit, and it's gonna take him some time to perfect it.
So, please, don't bash our God in your subtle, intelligent, sensible way, and we won't neglect to make the world a little worse with our every action. Okay?
Peace be to you and blessings from Jehovah, our Lord.

It's a difficult subject---Genesis1states that God created light before He created the sun and the stars so He is capable of creating light waves or particles without a source. He created time itself as Genesis also states "In the beginning" meaning there was nothing before that---no other earth or heaven. He created the universe and all natural laws so anything is possible for a supernatural creation. The Bible also states in various passages that God "stretched out the heavens" which some believe is a way of saying that he accelerated the light that we are seeing today. The speed of light is not constant...some experiments have slowed it down to a few feet per second instead of 186,000 miles per second so it is possible that the light or energy we see from distant stars is not as far away as we calculate. One would hope that a reasonable God would leave us a way to show that all these things are true, He created the universe to have order..perhaps in the future we will come to better understand it but basically, we cannot be 100 percent sure of something so far away nor make any absolute statements as to the nature of something at the incredible distances that are supposed or to calculate a one time creation event or expansion event. Astronomers do see that the universe is expanding and accelerating at different rates and of all the matter in the universe, we only understand about 4 percent of it so there's much to learn.
Radiometric dating is far from being 100 percent accurate--many subjective flaws and not necessary for God to have altered them. The methods used to supposedly date fossil remains have a great deal of supposition and flawed or questionable basis' to get an accurate result.

I wish atheists would stop using science to defend their ideas. Science is so far from understanding the true nature of the universe that it's not even funny. Just because you have your simple little technologies, your cellphones and your laptop computers and big screen TV's (which are pathetic in comparison to DNA), doesn't mean you can be so arrogant as to think that if there IS a God, you could understand him. Any truly intelligent person realizes what a shaky grasp we as humans have on our understanding of what makes time tick. And don't forget that most of the scientific progress made in history has been by people seeking to understand God. I don't care if someone wants to be atheist but it bothers me when they try to use science, especially science they don't themselves understand, as a weapon to hurt what is some people's only source of comfort and happiness.

To Cro-Magn: If you would consider that rays of light were created in place across vast expanses of space, you would see no need to originate light in galaxies far far away. The same can also be said about radioactive decay rates, that they were created at a certain rate. Adam for example was not born from a womb, but was created as a man, perhaps about thirty years of age. All of this however does not discount the omnipotence of God.

The thousands of experiments verifying the speed of light were all wrong. The FSM was there with his noodly appendage changing the results.

I haven't heard any of this before now. Do you have sources?
I am curious...
Related but not the same thing, the Mayans thought that time was speeding up, and it sure feels that way sometimes.

You're asking church folks?
I asked something very simple, how come the Andromeda Galaxy is two million light-years away if god created
the universe six thousand years ago, and they couldn't even understand what I was getting at.
Good luck getting them to understand your question...
