It's probably best not to. Alcohol thins your blood and you could have problems with bleeding after the piercing.

What you've heard about beer and causing yeast infections in oral piercings is false. Anyway, any type of alcohol (even ethyl alcohol, the kind you drink) will irritate your piercing and prevent healing.. that's why you're not supposed to clean a piercing with alcohol.

well yes you can. but in several states they will not pierce you if they think you are intoxicated cause its against the law. just like a tattoo... but the reason is because when you drink you pump more blood. and when you pierce or tattoo on someone whos been drinking they can have serious risks like if you get the tounge done you could actually sufficate from the extreme swelling. its actually happened in my town. so i wouldn't advise it.

you're not supposed to drink for the first 2 weeks you get it pierced, because alcohol can dry it out- which is why you have to get alcohol free mouthwash for it (or dilute regular mouthwash with water) but, im sure people have drank with no problems...

well yeah but it will make your tounge swell up alot more than it does with just the piercing will the same is true with dairy products.so you can but its not a good idea and will just make your tounge feel worse.i had mine done a week ago yesterday its already healed and i have no pain but i didnt eat dairy or drink when i got it done and it still swelled so i didnt want to do anything to make it worse. i wouldnt but it wont kill you....also i assume you meant afterward i dont get the other answers here..lol good luck anyway
