You have written an extremely one sided answer. Another word for that is "biased," exactly what you are accusing some Christians of.
The side of Christianity you are choosing to ignore is:
--Feeding the poor and taking care of the sick.
--Visiting prisoners and caring for their children.
--Finding housing for the homeless.
--Praying and supporting one another as well as those outside of the faith.
--Working for social justice, especially in countries where certain members of society do not have a voice.
--Telling the good news of salvation.
--Building hospitals and schools.
--Supporting charities.
As a group, they do more of these activities than any other group in the world.
I am not trying to force any dogma on you, but simply hold you accountable to an unbiased truth.

I think unfortunately Christianity has removed itself from the direct teachings of Jesus. All of Jesus's teachings were in the spirit of love and being good to each other. It is important to not judge a religion by it's followers... I should know. What I think we see out there is not true Christianity generally. Jesus preached not to pray to him as Lord as he said he has no power except from the Father....and he also said that he is not good...only the father is Good....meaning pray to God directly.
Our brother's of the book ( Christian's ) should they follow Jesus's teachings closely would not deal in interest yet the whole banking system of North America and Europe is based on breaking a commandment of God from a Jewish, Christian and Islamic Perspective... and interest based banking is also strong in Islamic contries as well... this is one example of where we have gone in reference to following the tenants of our faiths. Is there a Christian out there that does not deal in interest in some way....as it is one of the biggest commandments.
God tells us in the Qur'an that if our sins were to reach from the earth to the heavens that if we come to him with belief in Him and Him alone as the One we worship then He will forgive us as He is the Oft Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
I was Christian but generally because I was born into a Christian family. But I came to realize that Adam wasn't a Christian, Moses wasn't Abraham wasn't and Jesus wasn't. Jesus said "thy Lord thy God is one". Moses said, "Thy Lord thy God is one". Jesus said that he didn't come to change the laws. God is not the author of confusion and all God's messengers preached the same message. Worship God alone and be good to each other as we are all children of Adam, we are all brothers and sisters. Ask yourself this, When Jesus returns do you think he will ask us why we are calling him Lord as one of his teachings was that he had no power except from the father. We need to be submitters to GOD directly....as everything in the heaven's and the earth belongs to God. This is why I became Muslim. Islam = Submission to Allah. Jesus called his Lord Eloi in Aramaic.... it is an article of faith in Islam to believe in Jesus. If you don't you are not Muslim. Peace be upon all the prophets and messengers of God.
