Or will atheists burst my bubble by trying to convince me that I'm still short?

I have learned from listening to Christians, that what you " believe " doesn't need to exist in reality.
So, I guess, if I want to " believe " I'm talking to some invisible creature,or that snakes can talk, or apples have knowledge, or that I'm really 6ft. tall, everything is cool.

That's what is so nifty about being a Christian , you can " believe " any silly thing you want, even if it's obviously not true.----What a great deal.---No wonder they're always shouting hallelujah.

I'm quite satisfied with my height, if you're really concerned.---I was only teasing Christians.

If you read these answers, you'll find out how easily Christians are fooled, and why they bought into a book of fairy tales.

How does a person who believes in invisible creatures ever come to recognize a lie?

Boy. You Christians always talk about love, mercy, and forgivness; but you can spit out vile insults and hatred with the best of all the "sinners".

What kind of B.S. can you invent to explain how we were "made in God's image", yet we are not invisible?
Do you allow yourself to choose which parts of the Bible "believe "?

Can you believe you're tall... I doubt you ever could after knowing the truth.and becoming a Christian would definitely not help the situation. After all... when have two wrongs, (e.g. becoming Christian and believing you're 6ft tall,) ever caused a man to grow 4 inches ? Stay as you are; reality is much more comfortable than living in the shadows of fantasies and lies.

Believing is seeing.

Not only that, but there are so many things in creation that prove the existence of God.
The design of nature, how every intricate detail adds up to create the complexity of our universe (e.g. how the Sun & the moon are different sizes & different distances away from Earth, yet they are the exact same size in our sky).
Gradation, how we call people "good" - we are comparing them to something that is "best."
Nothing can come into existence on its own. Even plants need the Sun, the rain, fertile soil, & seeds to develop. If this is true for everything, something no one can quite comprehend has been here long before anything we see with our own eyes today.

God isn't "an invisible creature."
First of all, He wasn't created, & therefore is not a creature. He cannot be described in any human terms.
Secondly, He is not invisible. He is everything. He is emotion, temperature, water, air, sound, trees. He is in everything that He created.

You are walking along the beach when you see an antique watch. You open the face, & inside are complex gears & switches, each moving in a certain way to make the watch function. Do you think that there is a watchmaker who created this beautiful piece of work, or do you assume that it appeared out of nowhere?

You see, Christianity isn't about believing in the impossible.
Our own human reason helps us discover truth.
The idea of God is difficult for reason to comprehend on its own.
That is why we use faith to try to understand the mysteries reason cannot.

I'm sorry that you think Christianity & Catholicism is as simple as believing in something unreal or fantasized.
Maybe you can read a book about the faith?
You wouldn't have to believe what you read, but at least you would have a basic understanding of what we really believe.

EDIT:

I think you need some friends. Hahaha!

big j,

I done went n warned Ya bout pinging Christians. You know, of course, that regular Christians do not participate in these exchanges; it be tha…fundies. Them fundies is a vitriol spewing bunch and they really want to kill non-believers, you know, just like the Shi’ia do in whatever "paradise" they pollute

Unfortunately, for fundie cristians, in this country, in spite of 7 years of Bush, we still have some rights and killing smart people is still punished the same as if you kill a Republican or true believer. Life can be a *****.

Further, it is not nice to point out fantasy when you know that so many individuals have embraced the fantasy. Einstein discovered the mind set after trying for two hours to explain some part of the concept of reality (relativity) to a science writer, no less.

When, at the end of the two hours, the writer placed her note pad on her knees, put down her pen and asked with frustration…”…well what is real then?” Albert thought for a second and responded:

“Vell, I zuppose zat fur mosd peoples, est ist a matter of perception, Ja?”!

So there you have it. People have demonstrated time and again that they really have no honest interest in facts or reality; they just want their misconceptions supported and incidentally, will make you rich, or President, if you will provide this service.

I do not consider it issues what dimension you're. Going to your heights your youngsters must be approximately your top I might consider. In my loved ones, my mum is 5ft three" my dad is the identical, my sister is simply 5ft, I am 5ft two" and my brother is 6ft, mu hub is 5ft 7" , my daughter is 5ft 10" and my son 5ft eight" and they're each nonetheless developing. I consider you must appear at different contributors of your loved ones as good as you and your hub.

If you're a Christain, believe that God made you to be the height you are & he loves you; So, accept your height & think Positive. I never dated short guys, for I'm short, but my long-time bf was only 5'8, & I never could understand why I'd let the height-thing come into the picture, before. Ignore anyone who makes comments about your height, for they're only showing their ignorance, & some tall men I know, also wishes they were shorter; I've seen a lot of very nice-looking 5'8'ers, too. So, accept the things you cannot change, change the things you can, & have the wisdom to know the difference.

If you truly became a Christian, crazy thoughts like this wouldn't enter your mind in any serious way. The focus of a true Christian immediately begins change from "self-focus," to "God-focus." And what does God want us to do? To spread the gospel message to the lost, and to serve one another.

So, if you CLAIMED to have become a Christian, and you SERIOUSLY misread the Bible's passages about the awesome power of faith and prayer by attempting to apply this power to something as patently absurd and self-absorbed as your height (or the desire for a Lamborghini, or the desire for anything immoral,) then we would not question the truth of God's word nor the power of faith and prayer, but the validity of your conversion to Christ.

Why stop at 6 ft? If you use the measurements Xians use for the Ark, you would be 11 feet tall!

Or you could stand on a soapbox (I mean pulpit) and then you'd be 12 feet tall. Go for it man. They'd call you treetop lover.

Your belief in an invisible person that lives in the clouds has nothing to do with your height or what you believe your height to be.

You can really tell yourself anything you want and 'believe' it.

"I'm 6 ft tall."
"I love eating brussell sprouts"
"I'm the queen of France"

See? All very convincing.

It's only cute when little dogs think they're big. It's just pathetic when men do it.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure you're not going to give someone a crisis of faith just because you ridicule their religion. Get better jokes.
