he stopped talking to me months ago. I tried to get closure from him but he was unresponsive. it still really bothers me... and i can't seem to handle it well! one second he seemed really into me and the next he was avoiding me. he has past mental issues, so i'm trying to leave the excuse at that. any advice to help this process would be fantastic!

Sorry you are experiencing this.Very few relationships get closure. Whatever he needs in a relationship, he wasn't getting from you. If he has past mental problems, even if it's not a true mental illness, he might be looking for a resolution to his problems when he really needs to find them within himself.
Are you seeing the pattern here? He is unable to give you what YOU need.

You got the fade. He's an idiot. Find another guy that appreciates you, will love you for who you are, and will not be easily distracted by all the meat that's dangling out there.

He found someone else probably and just doesn't want to face you and tell you the truth.

He's a child, not a man, and doesn't know how to own up to responsibility.

Sadly, the world is full of people like him on both sides of the dating game.

Kinda going through the same thing, on a very serious level. Very healthy relationship. Woke up one morning, gave me a kiss when I went to work, said he'd call me later- then broke up w/ me via txt msg. with the ol' "it's me, not you." Seriously, girl, if it was a healthy relationship, it IS him, not you. Men don't tell us everything their feeling and never will- they aren't wired to think like us. You can't force your mind to forget about him, so cry as much as you want and talk about him to your friends as much as you want. Eventually, you'll get sick of thinking about him and he will go away on his own.
