Okay, We had a few Jws on my street about 1030 am. There was one car, and then like 12 of them popped out. I didnt relize that they went door to door in groups. I have family members who are jws, but they dont talk about going door to door and I've never saw them doing it. So can A jw give me the system you guys have for going door to door? I mean, its not like you go to towns randomly

We have a map or maps of the city / town where we live.
It is done in an orderly & loving fashion.
We do speak to each other,
about where we're going,
which or what part of the Good News of God's Kingdom
are we sharing w/ our neighbors.
Prayers are said.
Sometimes, it may overlap w/ another Congregation--different languages, u know.
It could be 4 or 6 or even 8, but 12...
that's a Big car / van perhaps ?

12 popped out? Big car.

As you can tell, we don't go knocking at 6am or such ridiculous times. 10-10:30 sounds about right.

We go about it in an orderly way. Dividing up the area into manageable territories and covering each house or apartment in an organized manner. Everyone must be given the opportunity to hear what the Bible says to people today.

They can choose whether to listen or not. The Bible shows most will not so our obligation is done. We return after a period of time as people do change their minds, usually by something else happening in their lives.

We are delighted when people listen. They see what goes on today and want better. Any teacher is joyful when they are asked questions that show interest. It is not going to put us into deep depression if they don't. There is always another house, another person.

There are Jw's that go to towns where they don't even know anyone in. If I rememer correctly it has something to do with a scripture telling them to obey Jehovah and serve him by spreading the word. So it's an obligation despite the constant critism they get from it. I have seen Jw's go to apartments or houses of their friends and aquaintances attempting to spread the word. Happened to me on a sunday morning not to long ago.

Each congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses has a geographic assignment, sometimes overlapping somewhat with another congregation focusing on a different language. A congregation decides for itself how best to define its assignment into "territories" which can be canvassed within a week or two.

While it is rare for twelve Witness ministers to canvass the same street at the same time, in dangerous areas this sometimes is done so that the twosomes can remain in view of each another and come to the other's assistance if need be.

All Christians have the obligation to go from door to door. If you don't live with those family members that are JW chances are you'd not see them.

Basically groups get together to discuss what scriptural material they'd like to share with their neighbors on any given day. Then they go their way about the ministry.

We try to be very careful to be efficient with our time. We try to divde areas in to sections. As for the numbers allot of that depends on safety. There are some neighborhoods where ONLY guys go, and it is a group. Meanwhile there are other areas where it is fine for ladies to go from door to door, on their own. In general we work in pairs, it is safer and more enjoyable.
