Your very first sentence is untrue. Atheism is not a religion, it is an absence of belief in God. Theism is a belief in God, but that by itself is not a religion, it's a belief. "Religion" refers to structures of beliefs, including rites (or lack thereof), commandments, morals, etc., which are endlessly different despite the common belief in a deity. Hindus and Buddhists both believe in reincarnation, but that does not make their religions interchangeable.
If someone says they believe in God, that does not mean they are automatically a Christian. It just means they believe in God. You can believe in God and not go to any church at all.

In the usa you only have to tell someone that you are a christian to be one. It has worked for politicians since the early 1900s. Most religions do worship similar deities. At first look, one would believe Judaism, Christianity, and Islam would all believe the same god. However, Abraham came from an area that worship Sumerian and Mesopotamian gods. judaism evolved that plural god into a monotheist god. Christianity took the story of jesus and claimed elohim is their god because Jesus called out to Elohim on the cross--though Elohim is not a pronoun. And, Islam took its god from the pantheon of the Meccans. Thought the gods may be in close proximity to each other in resemblance, they are very distinct gods.

Christians, Muslims,Judaism all don't believe in God. Only christians. You mean deity. A deity is a person who believe there is an all knower and ruler of the world. If a person says hey beileive in God that doesn't neccesarily say they are a christian. You could classify them as one but nothing else. The real matter is do they beilev Jesus is God in human or do they believe God had a connection to Jesus. There are many sub religion in Christianity. Unitarians, jehovah witness and catholic and more. Muslims believe in Muhammed and Allah. They say Jesus was real but he was only a prophet and had no real power or symbolism to God. Religion doesn't really matter. You can believe in God and still strip, smoke, fight, club-hop, have premarital, sex and wateva.

I assure yuo that just believing in God does not make you a Christian nor does it automatically mean you will get to Heaven......satan believes in God too but he is not a Christian and most certainly will not make it up there.....Christianity stands alone from all other religions because it is more of a "relationship" with Christ than an actual religion....it is based on the belief that Jesus Christ is Gods Son and came here and died to save you from your sin....and claiming that is the only way to Heaven....all other religions go on and on about all the thing YOU have to do to get there.....Christianity is the only one where we dont have to DO anything except believe and have faith...(of course athiesm, satanism or wiccan or pagan religions are not part of THAT category either)

All religions believe in a higher being. Atheism doesn't qualify for this reason. All religions are not the same, because while they all believe in a higher being, the philosophies of said higher beings are all different.
There is no religion that simply believes in a higher being (with the exception of intelligent design which isn't actually a religion). The precepts and doctrines of each religion dictate how to live. If someone claims to "follow all religions," it just means that they don't know which religion they believe in (because they haven't researched which religious text constitutes their personal beliefs).

All three monotheistic religions basically share the same idea that there is only one God all of which is the same God with exceptions of differing beliefs, character and attributes of God. The Christian God is the same God of Judaism which is the only God with exception of the rejection of Christ within the Jewish world. The Muslims god (Allah) is recognized as the same god but really isn't. The personality and character changes dramatically as it does not qualify to be the same god. God is the father of creation and is love where as the god of Islam is opposite of that forcing his creation to kill his creation. The Muslim's teachings came over 600 years after Christ and the Quran heavily borrows from the Bible. The proof is that the Bible contains over 3,000 Prophecies with 100% acurate fulfillment's where as the Quran has none. With exception in the rejection of their Messiah, Judaism and Christianity are one in the same and is the beginning of our recorded records of God revealing himself to his creation. Hope this helps and there is much information out there that will answer this question.....Terry

No. It's not a true statement. People assume atheism is a religion, and that makes its antithesis theism a religion. But while religion is all the same in certain ways, there are varying differences between different sects of theism.

A head knowledge of God does not make you a christian. Religion is just that, religion. The most important thing is that you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, that God raised Him from the dead on the third day, that He lives forevermore and that you ask for His forgiveness and ask Him to save your soul. There are many false doctrines and false gods in this world, but don't be fooled. God is not the author of confusion and the devil is a liar and the father of it.

No, Christianity, Muslims, Judiaism, Buddists, Hindus, etc are not interchangeable. They are all different religions.
Christianity & Judaism are closely related- due to the fact they both believe in the same God. But believing that Jesus Christ is the SON of God is the division.
Muslims follow Allah whose prophet was mohammed. Buddists follow Budha a fat Chinese guy made of stone. & the Hindus follow a teaching of worshipping cows, & rats. did it ever cross anyones mind, that if they quit praying to bovines & used them for their milk & meat, that India wouldn't be on the brink of starving themselves to death?.

more people should think like you. stupid people fight over religion and make obvious the differences in people. the truth is there are more similarities between humans than there are differences. even when it comes to religion, people believe in the same God. and its just that, a belief. religion and God shouldnt go as far as causing wars.
