I am having trouble hanging my sweaters because of those stupid shoulder bumps they create. I am just folding them into drawers instead, but am running out of space, so does anybody have an idea how to store clothing more effectively?

Clean, folded, and if wool, silk, cashmere, etc., in an airtight chest.

Consider using "space bags" or similar.

Ah, the oversized sweater hype. Yes, I've been searching for sweaters as well. But, I've noticed that it's a good idea to check out the guy's section for sweaters. I personally go to Marshalls where they have not so expensive sweaters and look pretty decent.

1] lay sweater, face down on table
2] fold into thirds from sides to middle
3] roll up in a tube, and place in drawer, chest, etc.
We have a very large blanket chest at the foot of our bed, so we use it to store extra sweaters as well as bedding.

how about one of those bags you vacume the air out of? I think they are called Space Saver Bags. They work very well. Then you can store your excess sweaters under the bed or anywhere.

Buy covered hangers if you want to hang them, look for a satin cover on the hanger, I think Bed, Bath and Beyond carries them.
