I'm asking because I own a Fuji film 9600fd, and I'm wondering if any drops fall on it will there be any damage? I don't intend to do underwater photography with it xD
Just wondering for any water drops that might fall on my camera.

What if The part that the cover doesn't cover [the front of the lens] gets some drops on it? Is there a way that it will get harmed even with a cover?

You can buy a "raincoat" for it - basically a heavy plastic bag with a stretchy opening for your lens. You just stick your hands inside ithe bag and shoot on. Using a lens hood would be advised.

ok, do no longer come finding for me to interchange your digital camera.....yet once you have a lens hood, positioned your digital camera in a plastic bag, twist the hood onto your lens, over the bag, and extremely, very carefully decrease the bag to divulge your lens. Your digital camera will/might desire to be high-quality in some mild sprinkles, even though it extremely is not climate proofed contained in in the slightest degree! merely keep it under your coat, or in a plastic bag if it rains, optimistically, it won't rain!
