Oh I wouldn't use the word scare. Any belief that leads people away from the cross of Christ is disappointing (for the person involved); since I believe He is the only way to salvation.

Superstitions do not scare me because God is more powerful than the devil or any other evil thing. What has occasionally scared me was that I might be aspiring to to high a degree of holiness out of pride rather than just pleasing God and fail.. History records the lives of Cain, the sons of Saul, Judas, and many others who fell from God's favor.

Fanatic Christians scare me. Why would I want some person come up to me and ask me to join their bible study group. I don't know you people and I say get a life to those idiots.

The belief some people have that all Christians are Bible waving fanatics who chase people down the streets with threats of hell if they do not accept Christ.....
That is totally false.
Most of us are just normal people who believe in Jesus....that's all.
