So, basically you are saying that you judge a religion by its fanatics. So you're saying that you assume all Muslims are terrorists then? I'd like to hear what some Muslims say about that.

Thank you jesusfreak, as a Muslim, I will clarify what you said.
Terrorism is STRICTLY forbidden in Islam. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. The killing of ANY innocent person virtually guarantees hell for the criminal, and this is not exclusive to terrorist activity. Also, being non-Muslim absolutely does NOT make someone "guilty" (and therefore not innocent, therefore allowed to be killed!). Just because someone is not a Muslim does NOT make theme eligible for being killed! The western media has distorted the true image of Islam through use of lies, exaggeration, mistruths, misleading information, intentional mistranslations, staging violent hoaxes and blaming the result on Islam and Muslims, and much, much more. The media is anti-Islamic, and those who run it are indeed Zionist. These Zionists who own and run the media (what you see on the news and watch on TV, what you read in the newspaper, what you hear on the radio, etc.) is all filtered through a Zionist lens that only has one goal: the destruction of Islam (and of course the ratings, which ultimately mean more $). It has successfully sucked people into its trap and many people have become extremely ignorant about Islam and have the totally wrong impression of the religion. We Muslims DO speak out against this terrorism and openly condemn it. However, the media supresses us intentionally so our cryful pleas are not revealed, giving the impression that we do not speak out and are for this terrorism nonsense we are constantly accused of. Terrorism is WRONG in every aspect. But who are the REAL terrorists? You will NEVER get the other side of the story, as the media selectively chooses what to report and what to show the masses. Unfortunately, the truth isn't on its agenda. The media reports in such a fashion to "convert" people to its cause, and especially since September 11, has been infinitely successful. So many people believe everything they hear, and sadly, we Muslims are victim of this propoganda.
I would like to ask: Why is there a double standard when it comes to Islam?

I also would denounce the bombing of an abortion clinic, I think it would be helpful if we all became more educated on what goes on in the womb, we will still probably disagree as a society on when life begins and what it all means, but I have noticed that both sides, pro life and pro choice have a tendency to twist facts to support their view.I consider myself a Christian, but not a mainstream one. I think abortion is a terrible thing, and the Idea of destroying Innocent life for the pride or convenience of the mother disgusts me, but I also know that it can be more complicated than that, there can be medical issues that make it necessary, the mother could have been raped or have mental issues, there could be things going on in her life that make it seem like the only way.the point is, I know enough about the other side to sympathies with it to a degree even though I might disagree with it. If we all know more about it, it might mitigate the strong feelings of some and lessen these types of occurrences

First of all don't put all Christians into one category. I don't blame any one for school shootings other than the enemy of all mens souls and the liberals that have taken the ten commandments out of our schools. Because of them, we are no longer able to teach the kids right from wrong. The parents of these kids do the best that they can, the school administration trys to do the best that it can, and it seems that there are always bullies in every place that a kid goes. These kids are often triggered by bullies and hurtful people that they go to school with. So it is probably a lack of communication that causes these school shooting. The abused can't find someone to help them and they feel helpless, and all alone. I have no idea where Marilyn Manson comes in on any of this. As for abortion bombings, I have never believed in abortion, but I would never kill a person that works there or is going to have an abortion, and I would never bomb the place either. I would pray for all of them, and try to explain to the person that was going in for an abortion the truth of the matter. I would like to have the chance to show her pictures of how big her baby is at the time that she is going to kill it and I would like to give her the opportunity to have other choices. I have dealt with too many scared women that had abortions and cry now saying "If only someone would have been there to tell me all of these facts". I don't know how any one could blame Jesus for killing anyone. Jesus went to the cross to die for our sins. Everyones sins. Even those who don't love him. He gives everyone the chance to have their sins forgiven and he is certainly not a killer. He is a Savior. So don't clump people into one group, and don't slander the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The Creator and our Redeemer. Show some respect. Some day Every knee will bow and every tounge will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. So keep your words in check now. It will be less that you have to repent for later. My best to you.

If the last album that boy had been listening to was Black Rain then they'd be blaming Ozzy. It's a convenient scape goat for some christians to use to show others - look at the bad stuff that happens to you when you step outside the boundaries. Thing is though, they only make themselves look uneducated in the process because most people who have at least a few ounces of common sense know that to do something as heinous as that child did goes far deeper than lyrics on a cd.

Ignorant or stupid or both.
.
By the way:.
.manson's lyrics, the ones I've read, seem to me to be about hating the haters and other horrible realities like hate. Other songs my be characterizations of bad stuff but we always always see that's everywhere anyway right?
Read for yourself. (don't fear, God is protecting you...)

people are always looking for answers to difficult questions. it's easier to blame others than to be responsible for our own actions and it's easier to sleep at night if we know that the bad that happens in the world has a simple, easy to understand explanation.
it's also easier to throw the blame outside of your group. kid shoots up a school--it was that devil music, of course. psycho bombs an abortion clinic--it was those right-wingers. angry terrorist fly into a building--you know how muslims are ...
people are notoriously self-biased and short-sighted. we are quick to blame our enemies and slow to examine ourselves.

I don't blame Marilyn Manson or Jesus for anything. I blame the people that bomb clinics and I blame people that go on shooting sprees for their actions.

The ones blaming Manson, Christian or not, are not examining the other facts to the case, such as how badly this kid was bullied and how many warnings he gave.
Marilyn Manson has never done anything but entertain me.
