Perhaps use the Pilot alphabet (Alpha, Bravo.....Roger, Tango, etc) to name him after you or someone in your family.
If your name is Frank...the dog can be Foxtrot.
Also, some airline related elements are cool, like JetWay (which is the tunnel you walk out on from the terminal to the plane) or Tarmac (pronounced TAR-mack) which is the runway.

Naming a dog VORTAC or NOTAM would be pretty lame, why not go after a famous historical figure, like Wilbur, Orville, Amelia, Charlie, Baron or a name like Boeing, Piper or Cessna.

what kind of dog. male i think Pilot is cool. Howard (for Hughs) he did alot for flying. Chuck (yeager) I had named a pup after Amelia Earhart for being a adventerous and brave. she feared nothing.
