Few ideas: Fancy dress party on an early 80s theme. Or a silver clothing theme. Day/evening out driven in a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. Fireworks party, can be really stunning and food could be as casual or fancy as you like. More traditional - a nice romantic trip away with your other half (how about to New York and a visit to the silver department at Tiffany's?) Get the kids (if you have them) to organise a party for you, give them a budget and any specific wishes and see what happens......

I have been to a few anniversary parties that were dinner cruises. If you live near the water, a big lake or river I bet they will not be that hard to find. You will find to to be the same pricing as a reception but the guests can go out on the deck and take in the views ( providing the weather is good) and they won't suffer from any sea sickness due to the calm waters. Or what about an amusement park? Are your parents up for that kind of excitement? I hope that helps

i don't understand the 'fashion show' idea, and i've always thought the idea of 'another wedding' to be silly, but i do agree with the other folks here that a romantic get-away would be wonderful for your parents.
its lovely of you to do this for them! all you have to do is put on your thinking cap and ask yourself where would they like to go? what kind of a holiday would appeal to them? an all inclusive resort? a cruise? a flight somewhere? or a weekend at a spa? they may love the idea of going somewhere different! so sign off Q&A, and get surfing some travel sites! good luck and happy anniversary to your folks.

send the couple on a honeymoon. A nice 4 day cruise for example where they get pampered and have time alone with just the two of them.
