Here is my point of view (I'm a woman). I would NOT send her flowers. If anything, she should send YOU flowers. She is the one who broke your date.
As to why she hasn't returned your call...it is hard to say. Something may have come up and she may be embarrassed about standing you up and afraid to call (which is really no excuse), or she does not want to pursue a relationship with you (but again....that's no excuse for not calling).
I would call her in a day or two and say something like, "Hi. I was wondering what happened to you at lunch the other day". She should give you an explanation as to why she didn't keep the date. If it is a GOOD and believable reason....shake it off and ask her to coffee. If she hems and haws about it...she is afraid to tell you that she doesn't want to see you romantically, and you should act as though you've been insulted (but in a gentleman-ly way). If she comes right out and says she is not interested.....shrug it off and let her know that you aren't torn up about it. In any case, she owes you an explanation.......out of simple common courtesy and etiquette.
Who knows? Maybe she had a death in the family or something like that.
I hope I've helped.

I'm not an expert in relationships but from my experience, a lot of my friends like it when a man sends flowers. They wait a while to talk to them to see it the man makes an attempt to contact them. It a man does call them or send flowers it shows the woman that he's interested. More than likely, if she didn't like you, she would have let you know. She may have just honestly made a mistake and forgot to call.

1. I may be a guy but that doesn't mean I know what I say; don't be aggresive about it. Women generally are perfered to be slow about things and their feelings manifest physically where guys seem to be more aggresive about what they want. If you really want her try to gather more information on her in a slow way. The only time aggresiveness might be nessiary is if another guy starts competiting with you for her. But still that doesn't mean get overly aggresive. However if she completly ignores you, not only is that a bad sign that is just rude and inconsiderate. If they don't like you they should have the courtesy to say no thank you instead of trying to sublimaly imply some message.

It's a possibility......She did say "yes" to lunch. That's a start..............and you both we're getting along well from what you said. It's possible she was busy and couldn't call........don't send flowers.......too early. Don't call her back either......not yet at least. If it goes another day or two call....just to make sure everything is well. I think she might be interested.....at least from my point of view. You have a pretty good chance from what I see. She could have rejected the invitation to lunch.....but she didn't!!!! It's a possibility!!!!!!!! Good luck my friend!!!!!!!!!

It could be that the person who took down your number took it down wrong? I might try calling one more time and letting it go. This exact thing happened to my now husband and I. The number I got was 1 wrong. Thankfully he called back!! Like her I was also in a meeting when he called. Try not to come across as a stalker though. Just say you wanted to make sure she had the right number and if she's still interested you'd like to go out sometime. If she's interested and has the right number, she'll call.

You definitely shouldn't send flowers. You didn't stand her up, it would seem like you were apologizing and therefore you would be kissing the girls *** way too much, especially given that you don't know her. And that is not attractive. Give it a week and give her a call and just casually say joke that she owes you lunch and see if she is eager to give a date. If not leave it be, she isn't worth it and move your attention to someone else.

leave it alone for a few days, maybe a week. she initially said yes, and maybe she's a bit nervous about calling you back. give it time. if she doesnt call in a few weeks, try again, but dont send flowers. or you're going to look desperate.
i know i'm not a woman, but, i hope i helped out.

send some flowers, that would be cute and not too stalkerish. maybe she's just really busy. give it another week after the flowers are sent and then find someone else
