I figure (maybe it is wishful thinking) that if a person is at a place like R&S and asking questions regarding my faith, then they are at least remotely interested.
There is a great deal of misinformation regarding my faith on R&S and the world in general and I simply wish to the best of my abilities to lay out the truth of what I believe and why.
I honestly believe that what I believe is rational and has evidence backing it up. I do not try to convert anyone. The conversion is between them and God.
I do love debate. ;-)

I am more interested in learning what others believe in. I don't want to convert anyone. I find that debate here ends in the same endless circle of questions and then name calling. I have noticed some horrid posts to day against Muslims, and Catholics. It's hard to have an honest learning experience with all the hate going on. I am a protestant Christian.

The question could equally be asked of many of the "atheists" posting here. I see very little in the way of honest debate here on this subject, and far too much sneering and name calling. I am not interested in converting anyone to my way of thinking, but I am interested in honest debate, on the rare occasions when it is offered.

I don't use this for honest debate. I do want to convert people to faith in Christ. But that isn't the only reason I am here. But hope that I do lead people in that direction.
I come here for therapy purposes mostly. Because I can ask or answer what people might yell at me for elsewhere. And this develops my communication skills. When the same question or answer comes up in everyday life, then it is easier for me to say what I believe about it now. Before I had anxiety attacks. Today, I am more clear in understandin how to explain something.

I am usually on this forum to answer questions that people have regarding the Bible and the Christian faith. I try not to get into the "debate" as it can get pretty ugly. If someone has a question I do my best to answer without stirring up emotions. If someone converts that is the work of God. I would be happy though! :)

We don't want to convert the world, although it's a nice thought. We are told to tell people a message and then it is for them to decide. I like debate but like most Christians I would like to present our message of hope to everyone I can.

Decode this lyrics " Betterman"
What christain?
Not even a catholic.
Don't even go to church.
Decode this lyrics " Let your love grow"
Just blindly mastered our creator's universal gifts of life back in the past in mission school which had been turned into a den of thieves in not worshiping God any longer.
When the school is our creator's places of worship and not the church.
Matt 21.13
Decode this lyrics " The greatest love of all"
Look around in the real world.
Ever wonder who were climbing up the coconut trees and still look green?
What do you think?

Most definitely honest debate. This is how you learn. If your mind is already made up what's the sense of asking a question and wasting your time ready the responses?
I enjoy good questions and honest answers ... even if I don't agree with the response. Sometimes it gives me food for thought. That's why I participate in Yahoo Q/A.

Uh, this isn't a debate site.
It's SUPPOSED to be a place where people can ask questions and get answers to them from other people.
I know it doesn't seem like it, especially in some of the categories, but that's supposed to be the idea.
Please click the link to the Guidelines and read them, if you're unfamiliar with them.
(I'm an atheist, so your question isn't really addressed to me.)

No offense taken at all. I answer questions about God or Jesus or Christianity with references from the bible. I cannot "convert" anyone. That is up to the spirit of God. But I do love talking about Him.
