If your car was fully insured then the removal should be left up to the insurance company. They will come out appraise it and give you what they think it's worth once they deem it totaled. Call your insurance agent and advise them that you were in an accident with your car. They will ask where the car is located. They will also ask who was at fault, if you weren't at fault or was hit by an uninsured driver (if you have that coverage) they will pay to have it removed. However if you don't have full insurance then it's going to be your responsibility to have it removed.

Call Your insurance agent right away if they totaled it they own it and everything will get worked out. If you owned the title out right the insurance company pays you for the wreckage. If your insurance was not in force Heven help you! Contact a autosalvage yard sell the wreckage to them. If the car is involved in a injury crash and cannot be released as evidence?

I don't know if this will work on your particular car and since it will damage the car slightly, you may not want to try it, but I did this on a LeBaron once after seeing it in the "Terminator" films (the following is how the Terminator steals cars). Crack open the steering column cowling and you may be able to simply press down on the button the key touches when you start it.
