My Sister tells me that it has harmful chemicals that irritate the skin? I never actually believed my sister for anything since we don't quite get along, but is this really true?

No. It works pretty good actually. I used a dermatologist face wash and other products for a little over a year...saw some change but after a while it started going back when i was still using it. I switched to proactive, for about 2 weeks now, and it's going pretty good. It'll take more time but i think it works good. and my face isn't dry or anything.

proactive has benzil peroxide, which is used to kill bacteria, and green tea to sooth your skin. their is a website that tells you what all the latest acne medicines have in them, you should try it.
ps. sulfur helps to,and many acne medications have them (sulfur and benzel peroxide) over the counter at your local pharmacy or grocer, be carefull to much might cause your face to peel.
