Try Lambs wool under your vest.
When I was in the hospital years ago, they put a lightweight
sheet of lambs wool under me. Oh what comfort.
Buy a layer of it, and have cut to size to go under your lower ribs. Or have it actually attached to your vest.
I hope from my heart I have helped you.
PS
My daughter is a police officer here in New Jersey.

Wow, I have never heard of a vest causing bruising unless you happen to get shot while wearing it.
First of all, you should see your doctor for a checkup. You may be more prone to bruising because of hemophilia, lukemia, liver problems, certain medications, or who knows what.
Maybe you are just too thin and need a little more fat over those ribs to protect you from bruising. In the mean time, since winter is approaching, you can cut the sleeves of a sweatshirt and wear that under the vest to give you a little padding.

Allowing that you are wearing a "T" shirt under it, the only thing that I might suggest is using a talcum powder under your "T" shirt. It may be that the vest is not moving with your body, and is getting caught up, causing bruising. I wear body armor too, and that's what I do.

established body armor worn by technique of maximum US police officers is at probability factor IIa. no remember what style of time-honored bullet, round nostril or hollow factor, or weight or load that factor vest will provide up 9mm rounds. they received't penetrate. The skill is in basic terms somewhat lessened by technique of the vest. Will nonetheless crack ribs, go away a large hematoma and there is a good probability of alternative inner damage. with the aid of adrenaline and different moves officer might want to likely nonetheless take care of to react to shot for countless minutes after being hit. I'm not sure that anything you wear will help. But I think you can buy a supplement at the health food store in the natural herbs section which will make your body less susceptible to bruising.

ouch, if you dont mind being super hot, you might want to try another layer of clothing under it. Also you might want to try to add some mass between you and your ribs. The constant rubbing up aginst your ribs is brusing your skin.

Either get a different vest, or wear the "Under Armour" shirts. They are lightweight, breathable, and provide a thin cushion.
