He doesn't open up and share himself with me. He is a private person. My question is what can I do from my side to help him open up. I am very open and sharing by nature, so I surely setting an example, but nothing changes. When I ask him questions, his answers are short. He does not describe, or volunteer information unless asked. With most men, I have not had that problem.

Plus, his career is in software, which I am an alien to, nor have any aptitude for. I feel really frustrated.

Individually speaking, what would help you open up more?

Thanks for your perspective guys.

Start reading up on software, and computers, and start asking questions. Its his field, so he should like to talk about it.

a guy like that has had a lot of alone time on the computer
and a computer, unlike a women, is very cold and rational and logical
that is his world in which he fully understands
such guys, i call them Spock's, are someone quiet, but have excellent problem solving skills, and most programmers tend to be loner types as they are not used to much social interaction, much less with women
