Something good! You could try to cook him a nice steak or hamburger or some really good spaghetti.

I saw Rachael Ray make this "you won't be single for long pasta" on the oprah show a couple of years ago. I have made it many times since and it is sooooooo good. Funny-on the show she called it "love making pasta"-but the name has changed. Anyway, you should try it out. It's soooo easy and it tastes like something you didn't make-if you know what I mean. http://www.oprah.com/foodhome/food/recipes/food_20060228_pasta.jhtml

I guarantee this will impress him and it's so easy!!!! Good luck

WILD RICE & CORNISH HENS

2 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 pkg. long grain & wild rice mix with seasoning packet
3 Cornish split hens
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can of cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. chicken broth

Melt butter in 9 x 14 inch glass casserole. Sprinkle with onion soup mix. Spread uncooked rice over the soup mix. Spread seasoning package over rice. Place Cornish hen halves on top. Dilute mushroom soup with chicken broth and pour over Cornish hen halves. Cover with foil. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil for last 15 minutes.

Just make sure it tastes good and looks good and you should be fine.

It would be worse to make an elaborate meal that doesn't taste good.

I'm not trying to make it sound like a big deal, though. To me, just the thought is something special. The meal itself wouldn't matter, but then most guys do complain, so...

Everyone is impressed with my stuffed shells, they r easy but time consuming.
Mkae your own stamp on this versatile recipe.
%%Also if ;dinner is a flop I always have dessert to brighten up the evening again.
>box of pasta shells big ones for stuffing
>meat of your choice, hamburg sausage, (what you like i have made with veggies and ham chicken) about 1 to 2 lbs
>>garlic onion seaosning of your liking
>>>>brown together as its browning be cooking your pasta
when meat is cooked ad to a mix of cheese cottage or ricotta spaghetti sauce (just a bit to give color and flav or like 2 tbls)
fill shells
put some sauce on bottom of baking dish
put your shells in and cover with rest of sauce and layer of mozzerlla on top. bake 350 garnish with parsley
serve with salad and garlic bread (use the leftover shredded cheese and top bread before baking
and a nice wine. (We drink beer lol)

Good luck hun, its very easy just i get bored filling my shells, but i have to make like a tripple batch when i make them, too many people request them, so now its like a treat, and i hand out those throw away tins to people.
Also remember you know the best what you like and don't like go form their. I love seafood, i do this but add shrimp scallops, with mushrooms and spinach i use ricotta and instead of spaghetti sauce i use Alfredo.
I have filled with ham and broccoli added an egg to cheese mix and used Alfredo(personally I do not like spaghetti sauce lol so I love the concept, always trying to get crowd favorite which i can enjoy too. thye still request the original.
I ahve added hamburg pizza sauce and pepperoni, peppers onions mushrooms same thing ad in shel I top cheese with black olives. And use pizza seasoning for the mix.

Popcorn in the bag. Don't give our all to a guy until he gives his all to you. Women typically give and give and give and the guys are the takers. Let him pamper you for a change. Give him the popcorn bag and a shaker of salt.
