One of my friends has just shaved a Mohawk on his cats head, lol, how hilarious is this?

As long as the cat did not get hurt from the clippers, there is nothing inhumane about it. I work in grooming and several people have asked for mohawks to be shaved on their dogs' heads.
They usually look pretty cute.
Inhumane is doing something harmful. The animal does not receive any physical or mental harm from a mohawk.

I'm not sure how this is at all inhumane. This is a cat. How many cats care what they look like? Besides, plenty of people have this hairstyle. It's not as if your friend shaved a profanity into the cat's fur.
I don't know that I'd call this "hilarious," but I'd say it's closer to hilarious than inhumane.

It is not inhumane unless he hurt the cat while doing it. If he did it just for the fun of it, its funny but kinda lame. However, my cat Scooter has to get shaved anyway so when I shaved him this time, I gave him a mohawk. And yes, it is freakin hilarious.
I wouldn't have put him through it just for my pleasure though. Like I said, he has to get shaved anyway. If he wasn't already getting a haircut, I wouldn't have done it.

The cat isn't hurt or in pain or anything so no that is not inhumane, after all humans do it to themselves all the time

well - it is kinda funny. It will be short lived but the cat wouldn't have been harmed from it. - no physical hurt.
Kinda baby-ish though. If this is the best your friends can do for humor - I would start to find new friends.

I think it's retarded. Why not shave himself all over, that would make more sense. If you're going to do something don't do it to others.
