You need to exfoliate about once a week with a good salt and oil scrub, preferably an all natural product like:
http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Salt-Scrub-Peppermint-Rosemary/dp/B00016X3GG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-1804115-6512715?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1192331773&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Salt-Scrub-Lavender-23/dp/B00016X3G6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_7/104-1804115-6512715?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1192331773&sr=8-7
I also do a skin mask every other week to get rid of impurities and deep clean:
http://www.amazon.com/Frightening-Natural-Organic-Deeply-Purifying/dp/B000NEEFYA/ref=sr_1_35/104-1804115-6512715?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1192333755&sr=1-35
Switch to an all natural, vegetable based, gentle moisturizing soap containing oatmeal, clay or honey, like:
http://www.amazon.com/SOUTH-FRANCE-SOAP-NATURAL-HONEY/dp/B000F8FMEQ/ref=sr_1_9/104-1804115-6512715?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1192332490&sr=1-9
http://www.amazon.com/LAVENDER-OATMEAL-EXFOLIATING-Handcrafted-Natural/dp/B000FENUGC/ref=sr_1_135/104-1804115-6512715?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1192332505&sr=1-135
Wash with a soft washcloth (not a scrubbing sponge). Wear clean clothes each day and wash your bedding and towels regularly. You may try using an all natural laundry detergent too - I like Sun & Earth and Seventh Generation.
I have found that a lot of the over the counter acne products can actually increase acne over time, so be careful with these. Use a mild salicylic acid skin wash on problem areas once every other day - if after two weeks that doesn't help, then try alternating between that and a mild benzoyl peroxide skin wash (they affect different types of bacteria, so alternating tends to work better on serious cases than using just one of the two). Neutrogena makes some good products.
Don't overwash - once in the morning and once in the evening is fine. After you wash, you can use a skin toner or astringent (again natural is better) followed by a light moisturizer which is non-comedogenic (i.e. does not block pores) - again all natural and hypoallergenic is better - try and find one with spf15 for during the day. And it doesn't matter if your skin is dry, oily or in between - you need to use a moisturizer - just try a lightweight, non-oil based one. F/Y/I, I had bad acne at one time and using this regime together with a heavier, emollient-rich moisturizer which contained honey at night to help heal the acne scarring (worked great). My skin cleared up in about a year and eventually I stopped using the acne washes except for occasionally (like once every couple of months). Reviva and Avalon Organics have good products - some of Kiss My Face is good too.
If your acne is very bad, you can also get acne spot treatment and if you have deep blackheads, you can try the clear pore strips to see if they help - never did me any good but a lot of people swear by them. I think exfoliation and a clay mask works better.
Exercise, sauna, massage and drinking 8 glasses of water per day are also big helps, especially the water.
Hope this helps.

Acnexus. It is full of 100% natural botanical ingredients. Cleanses, tones and moisturizes all in ONE step!! You will notice an improvement overnight. And your skin will feel "different" (in a good way) immediately after you use it. You can only get it on ebay. It is imported from Europe. I did a search online for best rated acne products and Acnexus was #2. At $24.95, I chose it over the #1 $200.00 Brunhause, which is also imported. In Europe, they sell products that work, they are not into selling the latest gimmick that doesn't work for a rediculous profit! Try it, it has a 100% money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose. I have actually had people complimenting my skin which I have been trying to combat acne on with proactiv for the last 10 years! Just go to ebay and type in a search for acnexus, and read the info. Good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Trust me, I've tried every "On the counter" ingredients...and well they just made my acne worse. I'l 16 and I still have pimples. I hate it...I'm self conscious.
First, I started eating healthy....and keeping the oil of my face. I went and bought an organic cleanser.. you can buy one from Whole Foods or Trader Joes....get one especially for the skin type you have.. Your skin is probably oily.. I'm guesssing.
I do this every morning and night. I grow aloe vera plants..and I use the 100% aloe vera gel on my skin 2 times a day. Wash your face w. the organic cleanser and then squeeze the aloe gel on your pimples. You'll noticed a difference in a week or so. It's perfectly natural.. it itches a little...but you'll get use to it. Don't use the fake aloe vera gels..the ones that say "All natural aloe vera"....it's fake.
So, good luck and hope i helped

I have red hair and so do my two daughters, my husband does not though. Neither of my parents have red hair either and my mom would roll her eyes everytime someone asked her where I got my hair from and then she would make herself grin and say "From the Milkman". For 2 years of middle school my hair was called 'orange' and it drove me insane and made me want to pummel someone lol. I've also had dirty old men come up to me and ask if it's true that blondes have more fun, but redheads start the fire or something like that. I love my hair now and I'm so glad I never colored it. I think it's harder for guys though. I had old women that wanted to try and drag me to the hair color isle to match me to the box lol so I knew it was a good thing in some form. I didn't really get made fun of until 1st grade and then I finally got away from it my freshman year of high school. (After I did a 2 week dye to make my hair bright pink.) Just tell him that those are good remarks. I get the "Gee, I wonder where she got that hair from" everyday that I go out with my 2 year old, as in they're stating the obvious since I have bright red hair too. It's annoying but I tell her as we walk away that they thought her hair was pretty and I teach her to say thank you if someone actually says her hair is pretty. Just let him know he is unique and they're all jealous, however you want to put it just encourage him that it's different, but that it's a good different. Try to find a good movie with a redheaded hero that helps with self-esteem also. I loved the Little Mermaid when I was little and Pippy Longstocking. I can't think of any males at the moment but I'm sure they exist. The prince in Thumbelina is the only one that comes to mind, but that might be a little girly for him.

See a dermatologist. Time to get tough on them!
Don't know why they are called that, same acne as teenagers, blackheads, acne puss or no puss. Could be Rosacea. Needs different approach.
