I wear contacts and i went to the eye doctar and she said that if i damage my eyes by sleeping in my contacts I can't wear contacts anymore!!!

Does this mean my eyes won't be able to see out of them?
Or
Does is mean she won't prescribe me contacts?

How can I not damage them besides sleeping in them less?
How can I undamage my eyes if possible???
Should I take this seriously??? Because I am.

Get yourself a corneal ulcer because of sleeping in them and you will understand.

If you develop an ulcer because of overwearing, especially sleeping with them on, you will never be able to wear them again.

Damage like that is all too common, and cannot be reversed.

It is your choice, be wise and respect your contacts, and your eyes.

Yes, it can scratch the inside of your eyelids and cut off the oxygen to your eyeball...making your blood circulation in your eyes poor. Don't overwear them! Many teens do, but science has shown that is NOTgood...more serious infections possible too. Might as well enjoy your eyes and take good care of them. Also, feel free to ask your eye doctor these questions, and more! they love to tell you!

she means that it will damage your eyes and its not that she is taking them away from you its that it wouldn't be any use. NEVER SLEEP IN YOUR CONTACTS UNLESS THEY ARE THE ONES YOU DISPOSE EVERYDAY, NOT EVERY 3 MONTHS/WEEKS. and yes, you need to take this seriously.

Hope I helped!
