I am obsessed with Houses! I love looking in them. Am I alone?

I want a new house really bad but even when I get it I know I'll still be crazy over taking virtual tours and looking in houses. I cry when I watch extreme makeover almost every time. I'm thinking about joining Directbuy to buy furniture..has anyone tried it? Is it okay. Does anyone else obsess like this? Do you know of a website where I could view beautiful mansions?

I have the same obsession. I think it is one of these least dangerous obsessions you can have, and I thoroughly enjoy mine!! I go on realtor.com and look for houses for sale in my area, and I love to watch HGTV.

I have always loved looking at houses, from the first time I discovered house plans. It is a pretty harmless hobby, as long as you don't pine for what you can't afford.
I buy house plan magazines, and look at model homes.
I decorate houses in my head when I have insomnia [ my mom does too - we had both been doing it for years without telling each other! ] I also redo yards...

It could be worse, you could be obsessed with something not so creative. Instead of a wanting a new house , remodel your existing home. The possibilities are endless. I will tell you, I love what I do. That is rebuilding and remodeling older homes.

It kind of sounds like you need to learn to be content and greatful with what you have been given. It's o.k. to dream a little, but it sound like you have gone beyond that to not enjoying what you DO have. You will never be satisfied! Be thankful instead of lusting after more.

HOUSES ARE SHELTER. yOU CAN OBSESS OVER DECORATING, AS MY WIFE DOES. BUT, IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED SHELTER::wHAT YOU WANT, OR WHAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE......hAVE TO TAKE A BACK SEAT.
