Use the Book of Hebrews. Paul's theme is about the teachings of past prophets being fulfilled in Christ.

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

The best devotionals always come with some personal application. Choose a scripture that has impacted your testimony or a decision you have made, and when you testify of how it impacted you, then you are giving a direct example of the scriptures are applicable today.

The easiest way to find a good scripture for a seminary devotional is to look in the topical guide. I don't know where you guys are at in the Old Testament. I do homestudy, so sorry if this doesn't help you much.

What do you want a scripture about? Email me and I will try to help you.

Amos 3:7 is one of my favorites talking about prophets.
Josh. 24: 15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Those are both mastery scriptures.

Seriously, what about? I bet you're in OT, so it'd be cool if you used some out of those books. You could also look in the Topical Guide, Bible Dictionary and Index under your topic. Good luck!
