OK, some people understand this perfectly, some people think it's bizarre, but dinner for breakfast is great! Also, a slice of cheesecake (low fat if you're worried about stuff like that) with some fruit on top is really good for slow energy release to keep you full until lunch. Anything with peanut butter (preferably homemade, if not then from a health food store where they sell it without sugar or salt and plastic additives or whatever, that way it actually tastes good!), also good energy and brain food, good for when you're in a hurry. French toast is a nice change - just dip sliced bread in an egg/milk mixture & cook on a grittle until brown. My kids love it with apple sauce.

There's a really excellent recipe for ham and cheese spoonbread on epicurious.com. I've loved this for years. It's grits based, with ham, cheddar, egg, and cayenne. It's so simple to make and so good.

I love homemade pancakes with bacon crumbled INTO them...it is only a once and a while thing...but it makes me sooooo happy.
