My ear seems to be pretty clogged up with wax, and I can't get it with a q-tip. So I tried using a syringe to flush it out.

It's a bit better now but it still feels a little clogged up. I was told that putting a few drops of olive oil in my ear will help soften it up, but I don't have any.

Is there anything else I can do besides flushing it out with warm water?

Thank you

When My youngest son was a baby he had a problem with ear wax not draining. The doctor told me to put hydrogen peroxide in his ear. Which worked wonderfuly it is a bit noisy but it works.
Just put about 4 drops into the ear. Dont be alarmed when you hear crackling popping noises it is just the peroxide working. After about 45 seconds tilt your head to the side and the wax will drain out. I still use this method on my husband.

Do not use q-tips, that will only push the wax further in the ear canal.
Use the syringe with warm water. It may take multiple times but you will eventually flush the wax out and you will be amazed how much will come out. Clumps of it.

Thats what the doctor will do only he will use a giant syringe.

Sometimes I have to try the syringe 5 or 6 times but it eventually gets it.

Don't listen to dirty words then you'll be fine :] jk

You can buy candles and put them on your ears. It drains the wax right out. I've done it before and it really helped me. But don't look into the candle(really.... don't) I've done that before too and it's not a pretty sight!

At drug stores they sell drops to loosen the ear wax before you flush them out. I'd suggest to do that.
