I really llike John's Pizzeria on Bleeker St just east of 7th Ave, They use a coal fired brick oven to make their spectacular pizzza's with .They sell whole pies only and depending upon what's on them they cost $12.00- $15.00. I admit that I'm a little biased since I've been eating pizza there since the late '60's
You may also want to check out Lombardi's on Spring & Mott .Lombardi's was the first pizzeria opened in the U.S .and John learned his craft working for him.

The brick oven pizza shops on Bleecker Street. Crispy crust and tangy tomato sauce. A pie sells for $12. Yet it's worth every bite.
