Since God gave us our life there for it's not really ours we are followers, life is barrowed... so wouldn't it be the same to commit suicide or kill another?

One of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt not kill." What is suicide if not the killing of one's self? God gave us our bodies, and life, so why would one want to show a lack of appreciation for this?

I don't think life is borrowed I think our life is ours.
But if you kill yourself then that's the same thing as murder...
I think there are exceptions to that though.
Like if you have a mental disability, I think that god would understand you're not in the right mind.
Also I always think of killing someone in self defense.
There are many different factors to determine you're answer.

Let's see. You have a weapon. You have motive. You have a body. The only thing missing is a suspect. If there is a suicide note then you have a confession. Yep! Sounds like murder.

No, it's not the same. In suicide the victim is willing. In murder the victim is unwilling. The gods also gave us free will.

I agree with you. God gave us our lives. He commanded us not to kill. We dont have the right to kill even ourselves. Suicide is a sin. It's just the same as killing someone else.

no, it is not the same. when you commit murder you deprive another person of life and of choosing if to live or die. when you commit suicide you do it with full conscent from the person being killed. you, and you harm no other.
probably the worst are those people who kill their kids then kill themselved... they should skip the kids and just off themselves if they really have to.

No murder is to take another's life unwilling while suicide is to take one's own life, unless of course you have multiple personalities then one of your other ones kills you when the other one didn't want to die.

I beg to differ!! This is my life I am not a follower, My life is not borrowed from god!! It is mine!! If I want to kill myself I will do so, I do not answer to anyone!! So no in my opinion it is not the same!!

PS I am a happy person I do not want to off myself!! I also did not mean to sound rude :~)

People keep comparing it to abortion, not the same abortion is murder the baby did not consent to the abortion there fore taking its life is murder, killing yourself you have your own consent to die!!

That would depend upon how you stand spiritually. To those who believe in God, it would be murder. However, if you are an existentialist, it is your life and you can do what you like with it, even take it.
