something cheap to buy, run and insure. you are going to smash it at some time, so secondhand is probobly the best option. something like a beetle, ka, smart car, hyundia, mazda1, toyota yaris etc

Do you really want to make everyone jealous? If you are mature enough to have a car you should also try to think about your motives for wanting a car. It's great that your parents want to give you such a wonderful gift. They must really love you and expect that you have earned there respect. As for the car. At 16 any wheels are cool. You should think about safety. Accidents happen. Volvo's, BMW's are cool and safe. You should ask your parents to take you shopping to look and learn about cars. That would make there day maybe year. You what to look for weight and build. Look for cars that have side shanks. Remember, it doesn't need to be new but the newer cars are built safer and you don't want to get the old ones that lack proper safety equipment. You go and enjoy. Sorry if I sound to much like an adult.

I don't know about you but if I could have ANY car I wanted, I'd get a mustang and I can't even drive yet. However, T-birds are cool, oh and minis are cute.....
Of course you should probably get something safe and a wee bit practical, but personally I'd go for safe and to heck with practical. But whatever you get, try not to get black. My parents have a black car and boy does it get hot in the summer! It has a tan interier and when it's eightie degrees out the seat belts sizzle. Of course that may be a bit of an exageration....
But still, try to go for something other then a black car.

some good car companies are gallado, porcha or BMW. some good cars the Nissan 350z, Lamborghini by gallado. if you want speed go with the Lamborghini or the Nissan 350z. a porcha is also a fast car. A BMW is a stable car and it Can go pretty fast. a mustang is good but it doesn't have the best acceleration. a Corvette c6

this is what i think.. get a used car so that then if you get in a little accident it wont matter as much.
people wont be jealous if you get a brand new nice car, they will key it because you will be so busy bragging about it to notice.
get something safe and practical.
id say get an izuzu rodeo.

You should have to work for your car. You'd appreciate it more.
Just some advice. Been there done that. Life is a little hard when you leave your parents' home. Especially if they spoil you to death.
